Not only Koalas!
What a pleasure it is to be a guest at Koala Korner. Impeccably clean, well organised, comfortable and warm/cool (as required, with efficient heating/cooling). Whilst the house is all that you could want, the location and wildlife are perhaps the most appealing aspect of a stay here. We cynical old folk found ourselves carrying on like children when the 'roo mob came through. Birds aplenty, koalas galore...Fab! Thankyou to Liz and Mark.
Great place with a very helpful & responsive host
Great place for a relaxing holiday. The only thing to bear in mind is that you’ll need to stock up before you arrive at Raymond island as you don’t have any convinient stores or restaurants out there . However the kitchen is well stocked with what you need to cook a storm and food works is a short boat trip away !!!
Wow what a wonderful place to relax. House was perfect, well equipped with everything. Beds where comfortable. And the local koalas where so dam cute. Walks on the beach watching the sunset. Or having your morning coffee watching the kangaroo and koalas we loved it all. We will be back. Thanks
Thank you Susan for such a lovely review! We love our piece of island paradise and our koalas. They are extremely cute. Glad you all enjoyed it, you are welcome back any time. Liz
Beautiful house surrounded by wildlife
Our family of 4 plus 2 grandparents from Austria spent an amazing week here over the new year. The house was exactly as described and in perfect condition with everything needed for a relaxing stay. We loved sitting in the covered deck (protected from mosquitos!) and eating dinner while watching koalas and kangaroos, and even a visiting echidna who had a drink from the water bowls in the garden. And if it got too hot on the deck, the air-con was perfect in the lounge room with a fan to keep things cool.
Only a 100m walk to the water made it easy for us to carry our kids sized kayak down to the water for a paddle and a swim with the resident black swans there. Days were spent cycling the island, and catching the ferry across to paynesville to get supplies (free for foot traffic).
And to top it all off if you're here on New Year's Eve, the Paynesville fireworks were spectacular to see across the water from a point on the island within walking distance of the house.
We'll definitely be back to Koala Korner again to see if the mum and baby koala are still hanging out there!
Thank you Matt for such a lovely review and leaving our house neat and tidy.
You would be most welcome again.

Wonderful Gippsland Lakes Stay
We have been staying on the Gippsland Lakes for a number of years now but this place was magical. This house has it all (and I mean everything!) you could need for your stay. It's clean light and airy with plenty of space to stay out of each others way and huge tables to come together for dining, games etc. There are 2 TV's and 2 bluray players an awesome family sized weber on which we cooked Christmas lunch, great beds and plenty of linen and towels and every utensil, pot and dish in the kitchen we could possibly need and a large fridge. Plentiful walks, wildlife and water based activities. Regular visitors during our stay were the echidna that lives under the deck, koalas in the trees directly in front of the house (including a mum and baby), kangaroos and rosellas. Thanks Liz for a wonderful stay.
Thank you Donna for such a wonderful review. We try to make Koala Korner as comfy and homely as possible for our guests.
Glad you enjoyed our island paradise, Liz and Mark
