I now live in Newcastle, but spent much of my childhood in the NSW town of Leeton. I went to high school in Newcastle, worked in Sydney for 6 years, worked in London and Peterborough, UK, for 2 years before returning to Newcastle. We then moved to Corlette at Port Stephens for a decade, and now back in Newcastle. The reason to move away from Newcastle is to find out how much it has to offer, and to appreciate the lifestyle here. Over the last 10years or so, Newcastle has matured as a city, but the beautiful beaches and the lake have always been the drawcard. Nearby Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley vineyards are terrific places to visit, and easy to get to. We also like to travel and reverse the experience of homestay hospitality.

Why Penny O‘Donnell chose Newcastle
The top of Newcastle has in the last 10 years been well supported by the local council, adding exceptionally improved walkways, roadworks, baths and beaches. Due to this, the area has become increasingly popular for outdoor activities from general walking, surfers, to runners and cyclists. In addition, there has been an increased number of restaurants, eateries, coffee shops, live bands, so the whole area has become a village atmosphere, with everyone being able to walk to everything. It's amazing. I live nearby and couldn't think of a nicer place to live. So the reason for purchasing this property was not only being able to capture the enthusiasm of the area for a longer term investment, but to share the space to visitors to showcase Newcastle at its best.

Secure Boutique building with a lift, 2 car spaces. On Level 3. Only 8 apartments in building, 2 apartments on each floor. Lovely northeasterly, as well as southerly breeze Outdoor deck is great to have coffee, or wine! WiFi and smart TV makes one easily connected. Very comfortable beds and lovely linen Easy walk to everything from harbour to beach and now to the light rail. Beautiful kitchen with beautiful Miele appliances. Apartment exceptionally clean 3 air conditioner outlets, and fans in bedrooms

Great apartment and location
The property was extremely clean and modern and in a great location - central to eateries and Newcastle beach (and a lovely walk to Merewether along the coastal walk).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Check in was straightforward, and the owner was very generous in the items that were stocked in the apartment.

A lovely apartment. Nice part of town. So much nicer than a hotel.
Magnificient Apartment & Services
This apartment is brilliant and the way Penny sets it up for occupation is very commendable. We did not have to go to the shop to have a cup of tea. It was all ready when we arrived. The bottle of wine, on the table, was a nice touch also.
We will recommend this to all our friends who wish to stay in the Newcastle area.

A fantastic and luxurious apartment
This apartment is beautiful and full of very impressive things like Miele appliances in the kitchen, ducted airconditionong, a huge HD tv with Netflix and Stan, comfortable lounge etc.
It’s right in the middle of Newcastle just a stone throw from the beach. We absolutely loved the outdoor balcony which had a lovely outlook overlooking water. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast there every day!
The host is absolutely lovely! Penny answered all questions and the check in process was seamless and very personal.
