The Hilton
Snuggle up in front of the fire, read a good book far away from the everyday
The Hilton was a High Country cottage and once a rustic corrugated hut, suitable for only the most dedicated skier. Now lovingly renovated, this warm and inviting property is one of the most popular and is reserved far in advance by guests eager to experience its classic mountain character, traditional granite open fireplace, and charming timber décor.
The Hilton sleeps six people in two separate bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, one has a king bed and the other a king bed and a set of double bunks. All the king beds can be split into two single beds. The open plan living area has a separate dining nook, a self contained kitchen with a full size fridge, oven, microwave, coffee machine, granite open fireplace, TV, DVD, Foxtel, music system and free Wifi. Outside is a BBQ, seating and an open fire pit set in the surrounds of natural Australian bush.
Look out your window in the morning and see kangaroos, joeys & wild deers peacefully grazing. You may even be lucky enough to sight an echidna scuttling through the bush
Enjoy the stunning scenery of our 2,800 acre property from the top of the Crackenback Mountain range whilst horse riding with Thredbo Valley Horse Riding. The onsite horse riding school caters for all levels of horse riders, and has pony rides for the kids.
For the fishing enthusiast, we have a 4WD track down to the iconic Thredbo River, where you can access the private deep ponds in search of the elusive trout. The Thredbo River is the back border of the Pender Lea property and the national park is on the other side.
Pender Lea is your ideal location in winter, just a 5 minute drive to Skitube, the train that takes you to Perisher Ski Resort and its many skilifts and Snowtube Park & without the hassle of traffic. Thredbo Ski Resort is a 15 minute drive and Jindabyne is a 10 minute drive. If you would prefer not to use the kitchen in your accommodation there are several restaurants located just a short drive away.
Thredbo Resort has excellent facilities for Mountain bike riding in summer and there is a new trail that runs for 18kms along the Thredbo River and down to Bullocks Hut at the Skitube. This trail opens up the whole valley to mountain bikers, fishermen and walkers
