beautiful new home with friendly owners and excellent facilities
Although we didn't meet the owners because of conflicting travel plans, our impression was of warmhearted people concerned for our comfort.
The building itself is new, beautiful and comfortable. Since our purpose was to visit close relatives unable to offer us accommodation, we had no need of local shops or eating places. The cold wet weather prevented our using the open veranda upstairs or the garden room.
The only items which we felt could be improved were : 1) the outdoor key safe is in shadow at all times, day or night. Only because we had a torch on hand were we able to see the numerals to let ourselves in, particularly at night 2) the lack of bedside tables was inconvenient and 3) we had not packed face washers because we expected they would be provided.
Hi Rosemary and John, thanks for your review. Yes it was a shame about the weather. Appreciate your feedback and will look at getting some bedside tables. In regards to the face washers there were plenty in the cupboard with the spare towels and extra hand towels. Sorry you missed them. Thanks for the feedback re the lock box. Its in that place for security reasons however we will encourage people to use the torch on their phones if its dark. Hope to see you again.
