Was everything we had hoped for. Idyllic lake. Perfect for splashing in and to watch the sunset.
Idyllic lakefront cottage
We stayed for 5 nights with our extended family of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids). The property was just as advertised. The lake was better than we had hoped - quiet and uncrowded. There was everything that we needed in the kitchen and we enjoyed listening to the bullfrogs and the loons. It was so peaceful to be able to take the paddle boat out on the water and we also rented the kayaks. Thanks so much for a fantastic family vacation. It shows that you love the house and take care of it.
Comfortable, welcoming and quiet. Well supplied. Better than the photos suggest. Very attractively decorated. Everything you might need in the kitchen too!
Perfect lake for swimming. Having a pedal boat and a row boat were bonuses.
Water is from a well which is uncommon in cottage country. Many have lake water and you have to bring bottled for drinking.
We found it to be private enough even though it is close to the beach and other cottages.
If you have little ones or dogs that don’t do stairs bring two gates to block them off. The stair going up to the second floor is on the steep side as well.
Overall you would be hard pressed to find something this nice anywhere. We highly recommend this cottage.
Was amazing how it’s quiet !
In the morning, the sound of the loonie !! Wow !
Very nice place, the housekeeper Isabelle is so sweet! We appreciate each hours of our too short week !
Tranquility and Peace
A personal dock with loons to greet you. A fireplace with wood already prepared for the first fire. A gracious hostess and even more gracious owners. All on a lovely lake with no gasoline engines.
What a treat!
Beautiful trees. We were not at the cabin long enough to use all the amenities such as canoes etc.
On the shores of a quiet wildlife-rich lake in the heart of the Laurentian mountains. The area is reknown for it's beauty and vacation opportunities: art and music festivals, hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, water-parks and boating in the summer; skiing, skating, sleigh-rides and snowmobiling in the winter. Close to 15 ski resorts ranging from smaller local resorts, to great family-friendly mid-resorts to world class skiing on Mt. Tremblanc. Many spas in the area for deep relaxation.
Our charming log cabin is a 10 minute drive through woods from the little town of St Adolphe d'Howard with restaurants, internet café and concerts in the park. Located on Lac St. Joseph, there are motorboat, pontoon and canoe rentals for use there and other lakes through the connecting river. The charming towns of Saint-Sauveur and Sainte Agathe are nearby with restaurants and shops.
Other Activities: spa, snowmobiling, ice-skating
