Horrible service, never able to get inside

Waste of time and money. Would not give correct key code or respond when I was not able to get in. Never stayed there and he didn’t want to refund me. Had to wait 2 days to get a response and had to find somewhere else to stay in the middle of night, bad area. I couldn’t even get in this space. Had to threaten a bad review just to get a refund for services never rendered.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

While the actual apartment itself was a nice size and was stocked well, the SMELL made this a deal breaker for us. I should have paid more attention to the other reviews. The entire building, especially the floor we were on and our room specifically had a horrible odor. It smelled like toxic chemicals and overpowering air freshener that was trying to cover up the toxic smell. My son and I got VERY sick within ten minutes of being there. We had to leave and rent a hotel. Our clothes smelled so terrible we had to wash them twice to get the smell out. It’s located in a very “rough” part of town. There were homeless people lining the walls of the building and the first thing my 13 year old son saw was a man peeing on the street with his junk completely out for everyone to see. The valet parking was convenient but also pretty “rough.” When we got our car back to leave it smelled so strongly of marijuana that it took hours to get the smell out.I very kindly requested a partial refund for our booking and was denied. I believe this is terrible customer service (yes I know what the policy says but also know there’s always exceptions). All around very disappointed, especially because this was my son’s 13th birthday trip and we came a long ways and expected something very different. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful view, strong chemical odor.

Really liked the place and our view from the 7th floor couldn’t have been better. Everything was beautiful, clean etc. biggest issue was a very strong chemical odor that intensified on our floor as we approached our room then peaked in our room itself. It permeated our clothes, taste etc. I’m not generally too sensitive to odors, but it was really intense. When we brought it up, staff promptly brought out a powered air freshener device which made it tolerable but I’d imagine not the ideal long term solution. Staff thought it was to do with whatever sealer is used on the old wooden floors. Maybe fresh carbon filter on the HVAC or ozone would help if that’s the case. We also asked about access to the game room and cinema but didn’t get a response.

Wonderful Downtown Dallas Location

I am giving this place a 5 star review because overall, it deserves it. PROS Outstanding location--downtown Dallas. Valet parking in the adjacent ramp--I cannot give enough props to the property management for this perk. In all honesty, this alone made up for the CONS that are listed below. The staff was quick and parking was super easy. A huge burden if not for this service. Excellent communication from the management of the location. We got text messages throughout our stay, just checking in. Very nice. Loft was very spacious and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom was very large and the kitchen was massive (although we did not use it other than the fridge). Washer and dryer included if needed. CONS The biggest one is also voiced in other reviews. The SMELL. Upon first arrival, it was overpowering. It wasn't just the LOFT apartment. It hits you as soon as you step off the 7th floor elevator. First we thought it was a cleaner used throughout the building but I came to the conclusion that it was most likely due to the hardwood floor finish. I don't know how you solve that but its pervasive. When did get acclimated to it during our stay, but when we arrived home, all of our clothing smelled of the same chemical odor. This was upsetting. After a couple of washings and letting the rest just "air out", they got better but this is an issue that needs shared so people can prepare and those who are hyper-sensitive to odors can steer clear.

The location was great, just what we were looking for. I appreciated the amenities of the building like being able to have groceries stocked upon my arrival. One major issue is that our floor (7th) smelled very bad. It was a chemical smell that they said was from refinishing the floors. They brought us a diffuser which seemed to help but honestly, I think after a day or two we just were used to the smell. Once we got home I had to wash everything and air our bags outside for several hours. I still have some items that I can not get the smell out of. The pool was also not open while we were there which was a bummer since it was 80 degrees a couple of the days we were there. The property was unique and I enjoyed having the extra space but unfortunately, the smell is a no-go for me.
