Tom & Allison
About Tom & Allison
Born and raised in Lancaster County, we now reside in Maryland. We enjoy traveling and often use VRBO to find our destination. We've stayed in amazing homes, mediocre homes and homes that scared the children! We've made a true effort to take all of our experiences to make our rental home an amazing one for the families that visit. We appreciate feedback, both good and bad. We will make every effort to have a clean, comfortable and relaxing place for you and your friends & family.
Tom & Allison purchased this House in 2016
Why Tom & Allison chose Pequea
We decided to purchase it, due to it's great location and uniqueness. We've enjoyed redecorating it with a "local flare" to highlight the Lancaster County area. Near and dear to our hearts, the purchase of the home brought us back to our "roots". Being able to add furnishings that have been in our family for a hundred years has been enjoyable. You will surely love the home and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
What makes this House unique
Newly renovated throughout, keeping the old charm with modern touches. Large fire pit with river views, huge covered deck with wet bar, spacious home in every aspect, river views from almost every room in the house and breath taking sunsets over the river. Wonderful to be able to walk out the dock and jump onto the boat at private dock. **Please be aware, there are train tracks in the front of the home. We do not know the train schedule...it normally does not travel during the day. In our experience, it comes through about once between 7pm-9pm. Through the night, it could come by once or several times. Most people find this a fun event, and it makes for great pictures. If you're fortunate to catch it come through while snowing, during the night...you have your very own Polar Express. If the windows are closed, chance are...you won't wake up. If they're open, there's a good chance you will.

Better than expected
We had a large group of motorcyclist and found the stay to be excellent. From the solitude to the many amenities we couldn't ask for anything more, hopefully will be a yearly tradition now.
fabulous escape haven
We LOVED this house. My husband, me and our 4 adult children and one of their friends went for Mother's day weekend. While the house is off the beaten path we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was immaculate, open floor plan but plenty of "hide-away" spots, great hot tub, pool table, indoor and outdoor space to chill and relax. Those beds though ...suoer comfortable. 2 master suites and plenty of extra towels, pillows, beautifully stocked kitchen with all the essential cooking supplies, and a thoughtful touch of a bottle of wine for enjoyment on our first evening there. It was cool and damp when we were there but the house was super cozy! Cannot say enough positive things about this home. thank you this was the perfect weekend for us.
It makes it all worthwhile when a family enjoys the house as well as the local culture and resources. Especially when the guest leave the house just like the found it.
The home was amazing!
We were a family of 9 adults. The home was so beautifully and tastefully decorated. Lots of living space, kitchen well stocked. Bedrooms all unique in their own way. Beds comfortable with quality linens. You are right near a railroad track...we heard the train but were not too bothered by it, if you close the windows you can hardly hear it. They mostly ran at night. The short road to house was a bit rough. The house offered a pool table, darts, and ring game downstairs with ample seating to hang out...upper deck is a great place to sit and chill. There is also a jacuzzi ready and waiting to be used. Some of the men fished off the dock. Overall, we loved our 3 night stay and the driving from the home to Lancaster was scenic with beautiful rolling hills and farm land.
We really enjoyed our weekend..the house was perfect for all our family to spread out..everything was spotless when we arrived and everything we needed was provided .Tom was great with any information about the house or local area...can't wait to go back any stay longer...
Fun, relaxing and rejuvenating.
This is my third time staying at this house and each time is just as if not more enjoyable than the last. This was the first fall trip I did up here and it was absolutely perfect for hiking, nights around the fire pit and in the hot tub. There are rock walls set up for rope climbing on the Enola trail very close by.
I love the rhythm of the days here...the house flows so well from the kitchen to the breakfast bar that overlooks the lake to the incredibly cozy living room out to the covered deck and down to the yard. It rained for a full day and we didn’t feel like we were missing out. We cooked all our meals here very comfortably and always had good music playing which can be heard on speakers all throughout the house inside and outside. This has house has become incredibly special to me and if you are looking for a place to just be with friends and family you would have a difficult time finding somewhere better. Tom and Allison (owners) are very timely in response to questions regarding the stag and Estee (Realtor) is very helpful and available should any issues arise.
I’ve been wanting a lake house vacation in the fall for the last five years. I finally got it and it did not disappoint!!! The house is very large and beautiful. It has every modern amenity that you could want. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was awesome and the front deck was beyond words!! The Bose sound system was great. The living room, dining room and kitchen had lots of room and seating. I love the stone, beams and brick and the way it’s decorated with rustic charm. I could go on and on. Sitting on the dock and taking in the scenery was amazing. Every person in my party wants to come back. Tom, Allison and Estee were all wonderful. Thanks for sharing your breathtaking house.
