What makes this Bed & breakfast unique
Why did we create a Cultural for you? It's been our big dream of starting a mixed cultural experience bed and breakfast! In this beautiful Architectural home, having the opportunity to get to meet interesting people daily. The opportunity to own this Retreat is far from doing a boring day job, no? Starting our Australia outback bed and breakfast in Clunes Victoria can be a wonderful experience. Here at The Edge Retreat, we have been educating visitors about the indigenous way of life since 2006 at different locations around Australia. We found being a host you get to live in a fantastic life doing what you love and work for yourself. At the same time, it is a sensitive topic for many indigenous people. As such, there are several things we need to keep in mind to respect the Aboriginal and Maori cultural activities we share here at The Edge Retreat. When you come and stay with us we can happily guide you through the process of creating your successful retreat stay, while respecting the people, land, and traditions. You’ll learn the ins and outs of a few Australian Bushman crafts, go through the ceremonies for the right of passage to tour the walkabouts sacred sites scattered around in our local area. Be guided setting up your very own campfire and cook a Traditional campfire damper using Australian native bush tucker seeds and plants. The Edge Retreat is about! "The culture" here in Australia that has been practiced for 40-60 thousand years. The Edge Retreat Hosts Avalon and Tony Karatau want to keep it going for another 40-60 thousand years. They feel it's very important to continue the teaching and guide the generations to come, about the land." Come sit by our side and learn some basic traditional skills, language and the history of the people of this land next time your traveling to Daylesford or Ballarat Region.
