Located in SE near the Hawthorne & Belmont districts, just a skip away from Division, this tiny house was crafted with efficiency, comfort and style in mind - perfect for vacation, business travelers or for folks who want to try out the minimalist lifestyle. Please clean up after yourselves and be mindful of noise. Sorry, absolutely no smoking of any kind inside.
You may hear the low hum of the energy efficient, on demand water heater. If you're an extremely sensitive sleeper, this might not be the best fit.
The home may include a decibel monitoring sensor to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels throughout the property. It allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. Tampering is prohibited.
You'll be set up for full independence, and we are available to do what we can to make yours a wonderful stay.
The residential neighborhood provides a lovely place to rest. You'll also have the best of Southeast Portland right out your door: Laurelhurst and Mount Tabor parks; the commercial buzz of the Hawthorne and Belmont districts (thrift stores, Powell's Books, bars, restaurants, food carts, Stumptown Coffee, Lucky Strike, Apizza Scholl's, Tabor Bread, Albina Press, and more); the People's Yoga Southeast; Belmont Library; two grocery stores (Fred Meyer and New Seasons) are in walking distance.
An easy to use, keyless mechanical lock opens with the code you'll be given. Separate entrance and parking from the main house gives you total privacy.
This new studio is beautiful: lots of light and exposed wood, polished concrete floors softened by rugs, new gas range and fridge, subway tile, lofted sleeping area, wifi, and efficient heating and cooling. The tiny house is quiet and spacious. From the street you'd never know that this 1953 ranch now houses two lovely abodes. I built the space based on principles of minimalist living without sacrificing comfort or aesthetics: a perfect place for an out of town guest or someone local looking for a quiet getaway. My aim is to invite others to interact and enjoy the space, build community, and create a sustainable and expansive urban landscape in our lovely and growing Pacific Northwest city.
Our neighborhood and much of Southeast Portland are easily walkable. Parking is also always easy to find on the streets surrounding the house and services like Lyft, taxis and Reachnow are readily available in the area. Trimet buses with easy connections to Max run all hours just one block away. Check out their website or download their free, easy to use app to make trip planning and ticket purchasing a breeze. We are on a bike route with connections to Southeast, Downtown, and Northeast Portland. Bike, walking and driving maps will all be provided. A quick 5 minute drive will bring you to I-84 which takes you to the airport or out of town east to the beautiful Columbia River Gorge or west to our beach cities. It's truly a wonderful location.
