About this property

Stunning Old City 2 Bedroom - Elevator, Bay Windows

Experience a one-of-a-kind Old City loft in the center of it all. This immaculate 2-bedroom condo features an elevator that opens right into the unit. The large, expansive living room with bay windows makes you feel like you are truly a part of the city.

Ask about our extended-stay rates if you are planning to stay for 2 weeks or more!

This is a 2 bedroom 2 full bath apartment located on the second floor of the building.

It is a secured building and the elevator opens right up into your unit (with appropriate code).

The space feels incredibly large and is perfect for two couples or a family traveling together.

The very comfortable couch in the living room can easily sleep one person. We have extra sheets, pillows and blankets if someone does use the couch for sleeping. *it is NOT a pull out sofa bed, but a very wide couch*

We have very strong WiFi and a host of streaming services on the TV to choose from.

Please note: As a couple of guests have stated in their reviews, parking can be a challenge at time, which reflects the parking situation anywhere in downtown Philly. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience you experience!

We have zero tolerance for noise disturbances. Violators of our quiet hours will be removed immediately with no refund.

-Parking is not included. We can recommend garage parking nearby

-Dogs are welcome for a fee of $250 per pet. Please inform us at the time of booking if you will be bringing a dog

-The common area has a wide couch that can be used for sleeping, it is not a pull out sofa bed

Not Stunning
While this property is described as 'STUNNING', our stay here during late September was not. The location is excellent, and close to many of the historic sights in old Philadelphia. The neighbourhood has lots of character and there's a large range of restaurants nearby. However, it appears that the property itself has not been maintained or cleaned, and we encountered several safety issues. When we arrived we found a bag of garbage waiting for us when we entered the property. We picked up the bag and found a wet, sticky spot under the bag, which we cleaned. Later, while unpacking our bags, my wife caught her foot on a nail that was protruding from the floor. Luckily, only her sock was ripped, but we are both in our 60's and if she had not stopped herself from falling she could have easily been hurt. We contacted the property management about the nail, and they promised to send someone out the next day to fix the nail. Sure enough, a repairman showed up the next day, and pounded in the nail. We gave him the garbage and pointed out a number of other items that we found since the nail, including very dirty windows (they did not look as great as those on the ad), dirty walls and dirty floors (our socks were dirty after wearing them in the apartment). We asked him to pass this back to the property managers, which he said he would do. We also pointed out the large amount of lint behind the dryer, which to me indicated that the dryer vent was also likely dirty (you don't pull out the dryer, clean the vent, and leave that amount of dirt on the floor). And if the floor had been cleaned, the nail would likely have been found because it was in the middle of the bedroom, and if it could snag a foot, then it should have snagged a mop. Later our friends joined us, and they commented on how the apartment had potential, but the overall grungy feel of the property took away from that. While putting their stuff away, they found an old rolled up sock under the bathroom vanity, and the floor looked like it had not been cleaned for a while. I asked the property manager to at least refund the cleaning fee, however after a week there is still no news on that, other than that they can't reach the owner, or have not come to a conclusion on the refund. While the property manager says that they perform post-stay and pre-arrival checks, they did not appear to occur for us. I can't imagine that leaving garbage for the next tenant is part of the check list.

Nice place to stay
This was a cute little apartment in a pretty good location to reach most anywhere in the city. The only complaint we had was that the cupboards were not well stocked with staple items like olive oil and spices so we could cook at the apartment. One of our reasons for staying in a place like this is so we can cook some of our own meals and that wasn’t really doable because we weren’t going to go out and purchase all the staples. Beds were comfy, space was beautiful, communication was quick and easy. Quiet at night and felt pretty safe walking home at night.

Philly July 2022
Property is exactly as described. Great Old City location with lots of food options within 5-10 minutes walk. Just a few blocks from Independence Hall, Carlos parks, notable locations, and short walking distance to Chinatown. Parked for the week at Old City Garage the next block over and walked or took the subway everywhere. Made breakfast most mornings at the apartment-convenient kitchen to cook in. Beds were very comfortable. We are a family of four-two teen children. One teen slept in the 2nd bedroom, the other on the couch and it worked well. Having 2 bathrooms was great-much better space for our family than a hotel. General note for visitors to Philly-I’d highly recommend taking Uber/Lyft than subway. But if the subway is for you, then it’s a short walk from this property which was very convenient. I’d also highly recommend Oui Pastries and Cafe Ole just steps from this property. The food at both was amazing! Chinatown, which is a15 min walk was fantastic too. I’d also recommend Campos cheesesteaks on Market street for the tastiest cheesesteaks (we tried a few different places and this was our winner). Final food recommendation in walking distance from this property was Eggcellant Cafe-really good breakfast! I’d stay here again with our family of four if we are ever back in Philly.
