About this property

Wonderfully remodeled turn of the century farmhouse overlooking the lake at Working Ranch

Get away to country living! Enjoy a delightful stay at this remodeled farmhouse from the turn of the century. The interior has been taken back to yesteryear in a style similar to what is seen on the popular “Fixer Upper” with the original shiplap walls, high ceilings and antique wooden floors. All the comforts of home await you with a full kitchen, laundry area, large dining area, two full bathrooms, and plenty of comfortable places to sleep up to 9 guests. There is a master bedroom with a king bed and private bath. For the kids or any additional family, there is a rustic bunkroom, with a triple bunkbed. Two double bunks stack on top of each other, with stairs to climb to another twin bunk on top. There is also a queen-sized Murphy bed in the living area.

There is intentionally no TV or internet hookup; the peace and quiet of this farmhouse will be a relaxing getaway you won't forget. You will fall in love with the view of the private lake off the large back porch, where wildlife watching is encouraged, as you will likely see deer in the evenings. The farmhouse is original to its neighboring ranch property. For additional fees, and weather/availability permitting, you can add fishing, hunting, campfire with s'mores, and ranch tours that include feeding the animals on the ranch such as cattle, goats, and pigs. For those who plan to enjoy what Waco has to offer, the ranch is a quick 20 minute drive to the McLane Baylor Stadium, and Baylor University, as well as the popular Magnolia Market in the silo district. It is convenient to other Waco attractions such as The National Mammoth Monument, Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, Texas Sports Hall of Fame, The Mayborn Museum, and Lake Waco.

Great getaway
Very clean with all basic needs met. The room for the kids was really cool for them and the property was generally free of any hazards so they could run around and visit animals nearby. It was very quiet and had no light pollution so the view of the stars was amazing. We’ll definitely visit again!

Such a wonderful place to stay!
We had such a wonderful time staying here. It is a short drive from Waco, and so peaceful when you get there. We loved seeing the goats and horse and donkeys! And also their 2 sweet dogs who came by and visited us. We were there to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Baylor, and will always have the best memories. We would definitely stay there again!
