About this property

The Gathering Place is a spacious single level holiday home located in Callala Bay (northern end of Jervis bay) with a short (5min), flat walk or 2min drive to the stunning white sandy bay beach, jetty and shops. It is the perfect location for families and friends to get together and reconnect.

Callala Bay Beach has calm waters that are ideal for little kids, SUP, swimming and spotting the local dolphins among many more things you will enjoy at the beachside retreat.

The space - There is so much space for everyone!

We offer 4 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms + outdoor entertaining area. An open plan kitchen flowing into the dining area + a separate lounge area.

Modern open-plan kitchen/dining area with all the key appliances (family-sized fridge/freezer, 6 burner gas stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher) and utensils to cook a feast. Dining table and chairs, all in the comfort of the air-conditioned space.

Separate Lounge area – Large comfy leather sofa, smart TV and display unit.

Master bedroom – Queen bed, with walk-in robe and en-suite

Basic but adequate

Basic property and amenities. Quite dated and on a main road, but fine for a group who just needs space. Advertised for a group of 10, but the hosts will charge you for any guests in addition to 4 people (including infants under the age of 1).

A great place to gather with friends or family.

From the outset, the communication with Alex and Lily was exceptional. They were in regular communication providing both the necessary information and a whole lot of extra helpful things about the area etc. They also checked in, once we had arrived, to see that all was ok. Alex and Lily have provided a lovely clean, spacious home with everything that you need. We were gathering with some friends and there was even the added touch of a cold bottle of wine in the fridge to celebrate our reunion. We would highly recommend this lovely house which has plenty of space for everyone of all ages.

We are a Sydney-based couple with two energetic kids that are never tired of the beach! We love travelling and eating fresh local produce. We had been to many beaches down south coast before discovering Callala Bay and falling in love with the area immediately. We want others to experience the beauty of Callala Bay for themselves which is why we share our beautiful holiday house when we are not there.

Why they chose this property

Callala Bay is a hidden gem. The property is only 5min walk to the pristine white sandy bay beach and 10min walk to the town centre with shops. The beach and wowly creek provides calm water and a jetty with a small playground and good quality BBQ facility. Perfect for little kids, family and fur babies.

The local produce is top notch. A stop by Nowra Fresh meat and seafood market will change the way you think of seafood! If that isn't enough, relax with a wine and freshly shucked oysters at Greenway point overlooking the beautiful ocean. All within 20 minutes from the property.
