About the home

"Chetilana" is a stunning home away from home with tranquil, light-filled interiors and only a very short walk to the shops and beach in Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs is a gorgeous open plan kitchen / dining / sunken living room (with smart TV, coonara fireplace, sound bar) as well as a laundry and powder room. The living room has views out to the rear entertaining deck through glass french doors. There is internal access through to the games room (converted single garage) which features a pool table.

Upstairs are all five bedrooms, plus the study/second living area with the sofa bed. The Master bedroom has an ensuite (with freestanding bath, shower, toilet and double basin) and there is an additional main bathroom (also with a bath, shower, double basin and toilet).

Outdoor Areas

There are two expansive decks (one at the front and one at the rear of the home), both providing perfect covered entertaining areas to play host to family and friends. The lovely garden is a perfect haven for the kids and there is a double carport and space for parking for a few vehicles.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, an Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home has a wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioning unit in the downstairs living room as well as a coonara style fireplace (no firewood supplied). The Master bedroom, as well as bedroom 3 have ceiling fans and all other bedrooms have portable fans. There are also portable heaters for all the bedrooms.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 8 beds, plus 1 sofa bed and 2 fold out beds, accommodating up to 16 guests:

Bedroom 1 (upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (upstairs): One Tri-bunk
Bedroom 3 (upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (upstairs): One Tri-bunk
Bedroom 5 (upstairs): One Tri-bunk

The upstairs living room also has a fold out double divan/sofa that is suitable for one adult or two children. In addition, the home also has two single fold out beds that can be used where required.

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.

Everything for a great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was great for 3 families. Lovely open fire, good kitchen facilities and all comfy and clean. The garden and front and back decks would be perfect in the summer too!
