You are minutes from Hillier Wine region and North Beach Provincial Park. A short drive away to Main Street Wellington with numerous restaurants and shops. Or choose to stay in and cook, relax by the fire pit or in the hot tub.

The Porch has everything you need so bring the family, enjoy the outdoors and explore The County. Bond and create memories, this property is a great escape from the grind of city life.

Prince Edward County is a very special place. You may find yourself here one weekend, falling in love and moving permanently, a large number of people have. Affectionately known as "The County" the area is comprised of small villages and hamlets scattered amongst farm fields and quaint shops. Located in Lake Ontario you will fall in love with the people, the food, nature, and art. The area hosts 3 provincial parks and over 800km of shoreline.

Getting Around:
Visiting Prince Edward County does require your own vehicle. There is no public transit or Uber in The County, although we do have a number of taxi companies and car or hire services.

The Porch is a lovely property, very clean and well maintained. Everything you need to stay either one night or a week was provided. Great location only 2km away from the town and a short drive to many wineries. I would recommend staying at the property for a group of friends or a family. The only draw back was communication with Book Places in PEC (they manage properties in the area), it was at times and a bit frustrating. But that has nothing to do with the owners or the property.

Property is in a beautiful area but one major thing lacked in our family trip which was a functioning BBQ. The BBQ was in horrible condition and we had planned to sit outside and prepare our meals together but ended up separated and cooking all our meals in the kitchen. There was also no oven mitts and practical items for cooking in the oven so making meals was extremely frustrating and time consuming. Also the upper floors get extremely hot and recommend fans in the bedrooms.
