About this property

With The Waterfront on your doorstep, your family or friends will have the best of both worlds. Our private beach and your own fire pit. Our dock to swim and fish from, and a public boat launch, docks and park next door to launch your boat or canoe. We are located on the Kameniskeg Lake/Madawaska River providing for 40 km of lock free boating or canoeing and fishing. You are walking distance from 3 Eateries, a small well equipped grocery store, LCBO and a beach front restaurant. The 300 sq ft+ deck overlooking the water adds to your outdoor living space. The suite has water views and walkouts from the main living area and the master bedroom (which has an ensuite bath). Whitewater rafting, canoeing, hiking, cycling, boating and exploring, are ample in the area and in nearby Algonquin Park.

No what we were looking for

The host was responsive and helpful. It had the amenities listed. However, the location on the highway, lack of air flow in the second bedroom and general lack of privacy (shared beach and deck; right next the public boat launch; no doors on bed rooms) made this a less than ideal get away for us. Had we know this was on the highway we would not have booked this.

FYI-The listing should have included the fact that there is no privacy as the bedrooms have NO DOORS- the noise is constant due to the public swimming area and people bringing their boats to the boat launch- the noise from the highway out front is constant also-other people using the so called private dock anytime they wanted- people parking in front of unit to go to the store or line up to launch their boats all day- so much for a restful week as we left one day early just to avoid the noise- L&D
