Okay but not 5 star

The resort was nice and close to grocery stores, etc. The pool area was a little crowded being it is ooen to the public and not guest resort guests. We didn't use arcade or icecrean shop. However the grill area has good food/prices. All resort employees were professional and pleasant. This particular unit has a few flaws. First and foremost, the rental agreemenet states you must leave thermostat adjusted between certain temps due to freeze ups. Thats not the problem. The problem is that the thermostat is locked and you cannot change it at all. It was set to 74 during the day and 76 at night. The bedroom vents didn't blow hard and the ceiling fans didn't blow enough to make up for the AC. The only bedroom that was at a somewhat comfortable temperature was the downstairs bedroom. The upstairs bunk bathroom sink had very little pressure. Each bathroom had little bugs crawling out from behind the baseboards. (That maybe common in the area, I'm not sure) The coffee maker uses cone shaped filters, so make sure you have those handy. The upstairs floors squeak and are saggy in a few spots. If you plan to watch television, make sure you have a Netflix (or some other type of viewing) subscription. Its available on the televisions but not activated. The price for this rental was decent had we been able to be comfortable. But had the description said thermostat was locked, we definitely would have found somewhere else to stay.

Cozy Unit

This unit is cozy and nicely decorated. It has all modern appliances and nice TVs in all the rooms. We couldn't find additional washcloths anywhere. I e-mailed the owners on Sunday afternoon. We received a quick response stating they would contact others on the team. On Monday morning someone stopped by to make sure we were taken care of and where to find everything we needed. We will definitely stay in this unit again.

Unclean upon arrival

Upon arrival, our checkin was delayed 2hours for “cleaning”. When we arrived it was not cleaned. Blonde hair strands was everywhere. All over the kitchen floor, countertops, microwave & refrigerator. Hair all over the beds/sheets were filthy. All bathroom tubs are clogged and takes approx 2hours to drain. All beds were dirty with what appeared to be bloodstains and hair everywhere. I have a ton of pics. I informed them and they came in with brand new sheets for all beds but that’s it. Still no actual cleaning was done. No starter amenities that’s listed in description was available. When I asked about them I was ignored. When I asked about late checkout, I was ignored. Once we left I was charged an additional fee for “stained sheets & washcloths”. It’s the audacity and the nerve for you all to even charge me after I’ve complained of the conditions upon arrival. Furthermore the charges were ridiculous. After disputing it, I was eventually refunded with no apology. I usually never leave these type reviews bcuz I understand running a business but this was ridiculous. Beautiful home… beautiful resort…etc but communication sucks and the cleaning staff need to actually clean. To have a guest arrive with filthy sheets is disgusting. I won’t ever rebook.
