Between Luberon and Durance at the foot of the picturesque old village of Lauris, we welcome you in an idyllic setting located in the old orchard of the castle.
Thanks to the old stone wall, the property is protected from the eyes of passers-by. It is only when the gate opens that the visitor discovers a magical place: The Provencal style house, the pool house, the swimming pool, the outbuildings… The whole is located in a large natural park planted with majestic cedars and trees. elegant Florence cypress trees, crossed by a spring, which create a beneficial tranquility and make the estate an oasis of peace. With a large, open-plan, two-storey living room as the centrepiece of the house, it is a perfect place for socialising.
With the layout of the house giving it a special charm, you can prepare good food in the kitchen while chatting with friends or family on the terrace or in the living room. However, if you prefer to take some time out to relax, the bedrooms offer a resting place far enough away from the main room to recharge your batteries. On the ground floor, in addition to the kitchen, living room and separate toilet, you will find two bedrooms with private shower rooms.
Finally, above this third shower room is a mezzanine area with mattresses, perfect for retreating with a good book.
In the kitchen there is a dishwasher and microwave oven at your disposal, and in the living room you will find a TV with DVD player. If you wish, there is also internet access and a laundry room with a washing machine.
The domestic water is heated by solar panels and the house has pellet central heating.
To make the atmosphere even cosier when it is cold outside, the living room has a large fireplace.
The house is situated on a 2300 m² plot of land, part of which is wooded.
The swimming pool is 4×8 meters and 1m60 deep and is protected by an alarm. There are two terraces: one of 25 m² to the west and one of 16 m² to the south-east. Both are equipped with garden furniture and if you wish, you can use the gas barbecue or the bowls.
The Luberon is right on your doorstep, so you can simply put on your hiking boots or take your bike to discover the surrounding regional nature park.
During the renovation of the house, we also took the time to imagine what the garden could look like. We planted a collection of local shrubs to complement the existing vegetation of white oak, multicoloured rockrose and thyme and rosemary bushes. The grounds are framed by a plant fence which provides a home for a diverse and colourful fauna.
In summer you can cool off in the pool in front of the house and enjoy a pastis on the south-east facing terrace, while admiring the splendid view of the old village of Lauris and the Durance valley with the iconic Sainte Victoire in the background. When the sun's rays have softened, you can also play a game of pétanque on the bowling green behind the house.
