About this property

A unique earth home built into a hill on 4 1/2 acres with spectacular views of abundant wildlife ie. deer, elk, turkeys, etc! The property has just been completely remodeled and is just 4 miles from Roundup, MT with all it has to offer and is only 45 minutes north of Billings, MT and Logan International Airport. Great location for hunters as the property is just on the edge of the Bull Mountains and just a mile off the Musselshell River. Owners live in a log home on the opposite portion of the property and would be readily available to make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay and, possibly, a plate of cookies once in awhile! The kitchen is fully equipped with range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, blender, electric mixer, toaster, crockpot and all dining utensils. A gas BBQ is also available. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and there is a queen sofa bed in the living room. A baby "Play & Pack" and a queen size air mattress is also available on request. There are abundant towels and bedding, but a washer and dryer is also on sight. WiFi, Direct TV, DVD Player, games, cards, and books, etc. are available for "indoor" entertainment.

Great place

We came home for Christmas and this was a great place to stay. It was clean, quiet and easy to keep warm. Beds were comfortable and the living room was a great place to hang out and relax at night.

Couldn't Find It on a Moonless Night

Unfortunately, we never got to spend our two nights here. We had driven down from Glacier and it was dark by the time we reached the area. It was a moonless night and we could not find the mailbox or see the place (even though it was close to the road). Our GPS seemed to lead us to a "blank" section of the road. We had to move on to Billings to find a room at midnight, and we were unable to return the next day. Our host did the right thing. We got a full refund for our trouble. To me, that says a lot. It was unfortunate it turned out the way it did, but we recommend others stay here but arrive during daylight. From the pictures, it looks like an exceptional place.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed the peace and beauty of the location. Back porch was lovely to sit on to talk and eat. Kitchen and bath were well stocked. I would book this place again.

Linda was awesome the cabin was absolutely beautiful. Had to leave early but we will return right in time to come. I could stay there forever and never get over the beauty of the cabin and the peaceful area we got to relax and just be a family

We are retired from ranching. Dean and I both were born and raised in Montana, I went to a rural school in southeastern Montana (16 miles north of Ekalaka) and then to high school in Miles City. Dean went to various schools and graduated from Ingomar/Sumatra. We raised 4 daughters and now spend time following the grandkids in sports!

Why they chose this property

My Dad had lived on this property for about 25 years and then we purchased it in 2005. He lived in this earth home that we are renting out and he had started another large log house. We have just finished the log house and moved into it and are renting out the extra house. It is a beautiful area and love sitting on the porch of both houses and watching the wildlife!

What makes this property unique

Mostly a very quiet neighborhood. We are on a main road, but don't get a lot of traffic, especially at night. The house is an earth home, so it is well protected from noise, wind, etc. It is warm in the winter and cool in the summer! Also only 4 miles from restaurants, bars, golf, swimming, library, tennis courts, etc.
