great place

my father in law owned this cabin years ago. It had been years since we went. We love it. Family memories ! The cabin said it would be stocked with certain things and it really wasnt. We needed paper towels, dish pods, towels and more. I contacted the manager and they had good communication but noone showed up for hours. After 9 pm. We loved the place but that was inconvenient Thank you

Great location

The home was beautiful and the location was great! The property management company definitely needs to spruce up in some areas like working lightbulbs, tv remote batteries, dishwasher detergent, and a full set of plates and silverware. But everything else was perfect!

Dirty but great view

I have stayed in multiple VRBOs and this was the first time I was completely disappointed with the house & the lack of response from the Property Management company (Big Bear Getaway by Meredith Lodging) on making things right. The following is factual...we stayed 1/20-1/22. The house was dirty. We immediately contacted Meredith Lodging and spoke with a Jessica. We let her know about the state of the cabin, and she said "she would try to get a cleaning crew out to the cabin." That didn't happen. My sister took over an hour to clean the kitchen/living area. The counters were sticky, there were plates that were chipped and had food stuck on them & there was food/items on the carpet & in the couch. There were no paper towels, no laundry detergent, 1 hand towel in the kitchen & 1 in master bath. This house sleeps 8 but there were only 6 forks, 4 spoons, 3 drinking glasses, (2 were cracked). The next day we did go the the property management office and spoke to Richard, who said that he and Jessica keep in good contact and someone would reach out to us about compensation for the cabin not being clean. He also purchased some drinking glasses and dropped them at the cabin. Most of the lights in the dining room didn't work & there was a ton of cobwebs along the ceilings & even over the oven. I finally found a vacuum & the amount of stuff it picked up was disgusting. The sheets & towels (even though they were old) were clean. We contacted Big Bear Getaways via phone on 1/27 and spoke with Caroline and again on 2/2 and spoke with Jeannette. As of today 2/4 Big Bear Getaways has made no attempt to contact us or try to compensate us. Had the cabin been clean and properly stocked, this would have been totally different review, and a totally different experience. Needless to say, we will not being staying at any properties run by Big Bear Getaways.

Adorable ski house!

We stayed at Moonshadows Log Cabin for a quick ski trip to Big Bear after our lacrosse tournament in the desert. The house was adorable! Kids loved the hot tub and playing in the snow in yard. View was amazing. Adults loved the hot tub and quick drive (or walk to Big Bear Resort).
