Beautiful, but serious deficits= not worth what you pay
Our host was driving to Quebec & not present. Her son/his girlfriend were in charge.
1. All the "Welcome" materials were about another property & inaccurate: a) They didn't provide the correct Wifi password which meant my niece couldn't work upon our arrival & this obviously had significant consequences.
b) The son's contact info wasn't included. We did get it eventually, but when Teresa said to go up to the house to get a hold of him, he didn't answer the door. We had to contact Teresa again to get his cell number & we didn't get it when we needed it.
c) The info said to put dishes in the dishwasher: there isn't one: I bought the drying rack.
2. Pool: was thick with a dark green algae bloom & unusable.
3. Basics & maintenance
a) igniter on the bbq didn't work & there were neither matches nor a lighter provided. The son's girlfriend (who was helpful!) had to come down & throw a burning paper towel into the bbq to light it.
b) we were welcome to use the bbq at the house, but it had no propane. When I asked Calvin (host's son), whether it would be okay to use the tank from the firepit, he said I'd have to ask Teresa who was on the road to Quebec!!
c) mold had to be cleaned out of the washing machine before it could be used.
d) conditioner was empty, but left in the shower
e) I bought plastic glasses to be used by the pool
f) dirty cutlery, bacon fat on cutting board
4. Spotted Lake can only be accessed via trespassing on private property.
