About this property

8 Ravenwood Drive, Noosa Heads (Callula)

Enchanting by day and evocative by night, Noosa Sound’s lush natural beauty carves out a rare slice of paradise by the water. And while many properties are fortunate to overlook the canal, this contemporary gem’s outlook stretches along its length, turning an enviable view into an unforgettable vista. With a north-facing perspective that makes the most of Noosa’s sun-drenched climate, the five-bedroom home is ideally suited to an array of holiday plans, with spacious self-contained bedrooms offering indulgent retreats for guests and inviting living spaces for bringing family and friends together.

From the street, an enormous statement door sets the tone for a modern, stylish interior that softens the classic monochromatic elegance of black and white with rich timber, soft neutrals and carefully selected pops of colour. Oriented to capture views across the two storeys, expansive banks of glass across windows, louvres, balconies and sliding doors flood the interior with natural light and sunshine. An open-plan design – including bedroom ensuites – creates a sense of flow and inclusion.

Downstairs, the open-plan hub that serves as the heart of the home marries touches of luxury with practical functionality and a warm sense of welcome. Perfect proportions feature in the zoned dining and living areas, both of which can be served from the adjacent entertainer’s kitchen, complete with butler’s pantry, wine fridge and herb garden. It continues the home’s sleek and understated style, linking through a full-width servery to the outdoor recreation zone. This play space is also accessible via massive banks of sliding doors. Again oriented around the incredible water outlook, the tiled deck, including a hot/cold outdoor shower, is all about enjoying your getaway your way.

To the side, an emerald expanse of lawn is perfect for the young, and young at heart, to kick around a ball, play a game of tag or grab a good book to while away a few hours. Enjoy sunset cocktails from the comfort of cosy lounges before adjoining to the dining table for a feast grilled on the barbecue and served alfresco style.

As you dine, let your eyes wander across the water in shades transforming from turquoise to rich green, as the infinity-edge saltwater pool leads the eye through to the canal beyond. For a closer look it’s but a few steps down to the private beach. You can even grab a paddleboard or kayak along the way. Other attractions at the contemporary property include table tennis, a beautiful upstairs reading balcony overlooking the water and a lift available by request that thoughtfully ensures accessibility between the levels for all guests.

The end result is the fulfilment of desire without the need to leave home. Yet nearby attractions are an invitation for visitors to wander a little further. World-famous Hastings St is but a small journey away, whether you’re in search of exclusive boutique fashions, a culinary adventure or simply an ice-cream on a balmy summer’s day. Beyond that lies the delights of Main Beach, where the squelch of wet sand underfoot creates an immediate and intoxicating connection with nature, one that continues through into Noosa National Park.

Between the views out to sea from here, and the views up the Sound from your holiday home, it’s about picturesque panoramas that many may share but no two people will experience, and then remember, in quite the same way. Which is exactly how it should be.
