About this property

Bright and spacious home w/ garden and spa bath

Our home has a large living area which gets plenty of light and looks out over our lovely garden. The bedrooms are generous, each with a desk. The master has a private balcony and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and spa bath. The third bedroom can be set up with 2 singles or with a King size bed.

We are close to trams (15 mins to town), and plenty of shops, restaurants and parks, including famous Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. There is also easy access to nearby cycle paths.

This is our family home that we rent out when we are away. We love our house and the location and hope that you will too.

The large living area at the back of the house gets plenty of light and looks out onto a lovely garden. You can eat out of doors, indoors at the smaller breakfast table or at the larger table in the dining room.

There is a nice kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher of course) and granite benchtops and splash backs.

As well there is a comfortable sitting area in the main living area with large TV (55 inches) and cable TV (Foxtel) is connected including sport.

The very large master bedroom upstairs has its own spa ensuite and has a private balcony. It has period features, a comfortable queen size bed and a desk. The gas fireplace works (please tun off the pilot light when you finish using it). And there is air conditioning for hot nights.

The second bedroom downstairs also has period features and plenty of character and a queen size bed and desk.

The third bedroom, which is upstairs, has 2 single beds which can be put together to be a king size bed. There is also a desk. It has a ceiling fan and an opening skylight.

The family bathroom is downstairs and has a shower over the bath and also houses the washing machine, dryer and laundry sink in a convenient cupboard. There is also a fold down clothesline in a corner in the garden.

The bedrooms are all carpeted. The downstairs hall and dining room have Baltic pine floor boards, and the living area and kitchen have lovely Tasmanian myrtle polished floors.

We have hydronic central heating throughout most of the house. There is now also an air conditioning unit in the living area for hot days or for extra heating in winter. The air conditioning unit in the master bedroom has also been upgraded for quieter and more efficient cooling or heating. There is also a portable evaporative cooler for the upstairs third bedroom. The house has good insulation.

Of course Wi-Fi is available.

We store our personal items in the garage and in the Walk-In-Robe off the master bedroom so you will not have access to those areas. There are also a couple of cupboards that we keep locked for use by the cleaners.

We will be available by phone or email 24/7.

Our house is on a lovely, tree lined street.

North Fitzroy is a very convenient location being very close to the city and also having a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

The city is about 4 kms away. There are great bikes paths if you want to cycle and we are close to 2 tram stops with regular services that take about 15 minutes into town. The 11 tram goes down Brunswick Street past the renowned restaurant strip and through the city on Collins Street and then down to Docklands. The 96 goes along Nicholson Street past the Exhibition Buildings and Carlton Gardens, through the city along Bourke Street and then along Spencer Street past Crown Casino. It then becomes light rail and passes the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), South Melbourne Markets and then travels to St Kilda passing along the Esplanade and Ackland St.

There are lots of interconnections to other trams, trains and buses to get you where you need to go.

Our house is about 25 minutes drive to the airport depending on traffic. Or you can catch skybus to Southern Cross Station and then catch the 96 tram here.

@ The twin single beds can be joined together to make a King Size bed, please let us know the bed configuration you would prefer when booking. We will need plenty of notice to make this change. For last minute bookings we may be unable to change the bed configuration in time.

@ There is a studio apartment on the property which is also rented out. There is a locked door between the apartment and the main house, and guests access the apartment through the back gate and the external spiral stairs in the garden. The apartment is above the house's living room, but there is extra insulation in the floor, and the walls between the apartment and the house are brick, so we rarely hear talk or TV from the apartment, although we do sometimes here people walking around.

@ The door between the house and the Studio cannot be unlocked.

@ We recently upgraded our air conditioning and cetral heating boiler for quieter more efficient heating and cooling.

@ Restricted street parking
- There may also be guests in the studio apartment upstairs. Please be considerate with noise.
- Please look after our home and leave it in the condition you found it
- No smoking inside the home. Please use an ashtray if you do smoke in the garden
- Do not light fires in the fireplaces as it could cause a fire in the chimney
- Please remove high heels before walking on the wooden floors
- We welcome infants and young children, but please take your own precautions to avoid them falling on the stairs
- No noise after 10pm please.
- Not available for professional or commercial photoshoots or movie/video production
