About this property

This 19th Century townhouse in downtown Hudson was recently renovated and is in walking distance to everything in town. The house is one block from the Saturday Farmer’s market and Warren Street’s restaurants, galleries, shops, and cafes. The house has an incredibly well stocked gourmet chef’s kitchen. The kitchen comes equipped with All-Clad pots and pans, new stainless steel appliances, a gas range, microwave, and two dishwashers. Off the kitchen is an elegant dining room with a stunning crystal chandelier and large dining table. A half bath is just off the kitchen down the hallway.

Outside in the backyard garden there are organic fruit trees, herbs, and vegetables for you and your guests to enjoy. There is an outdoor kitchen with a large charcoal bbq grill, concrete counter tops, dining table, teak club chairs, and a beautiful Koi pond.

The second floor is bright and sunny with high ceilings and a double parlor with original sliding pocket doors. The front parlor is furnished with comfortable upholstered couches, beautiful black and white photographs from the Hudson Valley, an abundant selection of books, games, magazines, and plenty of throw blankets. The back living room has a state of the art surround sound stereo, 55” TV, digital cable, Apple TV, a Blu-ray player, DVDs, a printer, and comfortable upholstered couches.

The third floor has three bedrooms and a full bath. There is a king sized bed, a queen sized bed, and a full sized antique brass bed. The bathroom has an old fashion tub and overhead shower. The bathrooms are stocked with towels, organic shampoos, biodegradable body wash, and hair dryers.

The fourth floor has queen beds in two bedrooms and a pair of antique twin beds in the third. The master bedroom has a 55” TV with surround sound system, daybed, full-length mirror, and antique armoire. The second bedroom contains a queen sized cherry sleigh bed, and a flat panel TV. Both bedrooms have TiVo’s that allow you to watch cable TV or, stream any movies saved on the master DVR in the back living room. The full bathroom has a glass stand up shower with incredible water pressure and hot water.

Memorable Thanksgiving retreat in Hudson

We had the pleasure of staying at this charming home in Hudson over Thanksgiving and it exceeded our expectations. The proximity to town was a definite highlight, with shops and restaurants just a few steps away. The owners/hosts went above and beyond taking the time to explain every amenity, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay.We were grateful for their attention to detail, even the coffee machine. Beautifully decorated Christmas trees really set the mood for the holidays. Overall our experience at this VRBO was exceptional. We highly recommend this home to anyone seeking a beautiful and well-cared for retreat while visiting Hudson. Thank you to the owners for creating a warm and inviting space that made our Thanksgiving celebration truly special!

Enjoyed our stay

We traveled to Hudson for a family reunion. The house was a great fit for our needs for our short stay. The place was very clean. The kitchen and back patio were fantastic. The beds were comfortable. There was a cute farmers market on Saturday morning across the street. We had a great stay.

We had a wonderful time at the house. Very charming, very accommodating and extremely well stocked!! The owner was great to work with and made the stay that much more pleasant. Our daughter was married a few miles away, making this a perfect place to stay. We will absolutely stay here again!

Why they chose this property

This house has a beautiful Japanese Garden with koi pond and an outdoor kitchen. If you want to sit in the garden, use the charcoal bbq, drink a glass of wine and eat some cheese by the koi pond this is a perfect escape from city life.

The house is one block to Warren streets restaurants, bars, cafes and antique shops. Located across the street from the Saturday Farmers Market, you will see all the farming bounty from the Hudson Valley and upstate New York. Many of the vendors are the same you see at the Union Square Farmers Market.

We took the time to furnish the house with a mix of antiques and contemporary style. When we travel we notice houses where the guests come first and the pantry is well stocked. We look to see if the owner thought of you and supplied you with all the comforts you are accustomed to. We believe a turnkey house is important for your comfort, and have taken great lengths to stock the house as such. Leave your towels, hair dryers, shampoos, and cooking gadgets in the city and enjoy your time at the house.

Hudson is just a 2 ½ hour drive from Boston, a two-hour train ride from Manhattan (NYC) via Amtrak, has a great selection of restaurants, a community that supports local farming, the environment, healthy lifestyle, arts, antiques, and has plenty of interesting people.

If you want to get away for a weekend, but want to still have access to art, culture, and great food, then we believe Hudson is a good choice for your family and friends.

Help yourself to anything from the organic garden. The gourmet chef's kitchen is ideal for cooking with a full stocked pantry, All-Clad pots and pans, and wi-fi throughout the house. The outdoor kitchen allows you to relax in the Japanese Garden while you cook and relax with family and friends. You literally have escaped the city life and are in a world to yourself.
