Morgies on Long Beach

‘Morgies’ story starts in the 1940’s, when the Morgan brothers from Sydney bought land along the then deserted Long Beach. Alan ‘Morgie’ Morgan and his wife Nan made a life there & opened the famous ‘Lobster Pot’ seafood restaurant in Batemans Bay town in the 1970's – just mention the name to any long term local!

The humble beach shack remained in the family and has just completed a total renovation, opening 2020. Leighton Brow and Carly Shulz (winners of House Rules and runners up of Reno Rumble) moved on site in their home on wheels, with their side kick 2yr old Bruce, and spent months pouring their heart and soul into transforming this special place. Linda Lee, freelance stylist and family friend, also spent time working with Carly & Leighton, influencing design, colour and style decisions. ‘Morgies’ has been restored with all modern amenities, all the while keeping the shacks former glory.

We welcome your stay here with the ocean metres from the front gate. Spend the days scouring the rockpools, swimming, fishing, and dusk on the balcony watching the sun set. Whatever your reason to stay we hope you love ‘Morgies’ as much as we do.

The space:
* Upstairs inside-outside open flowing living space with new kitchen.
* Modern master king bedroom with ensuite
* Downstairs 2nd ‘kids retreat’ living space, queen bedroom, two double bedrooms and 2nd bathroom.
* Renovated throughout including many quality features: spacious new hardwood deck, new open plan kitchen, outdoor firepit and outdoor hot shower.
* You do not need ‘access to the beach’ as you are ON the beach :-)

Other things to note:
Micro cloud bedding used. All pure white cotton hotel quality linen for bedding and bath towels are provided (not linen showing in photos). Guests are asked to BYO beach towels.
Guests booking during the school holidays please note: all bookings during this peak period are available for a 7 night minimum from Saturday to Saturday.

Please note that the villa is in a quiet residential area, and not available as a party venue; not suitable for pre-/end-of-season celebrations, bucks/hens or similar events.
