About this property

Quartz Valley Charming Cozy Tiny House - Reconnect with Nature and Each Other

There is nothing quite like arriving to a completely private tiny home overlooking a tree-filled valley. It is the perfect romantic getaway.

Leave it all behind as you sit on the deck or curl up in the book nook and allow the wind, birds, clouds and stars to draw you into the embrace of nature.

The tiny is set on 18 acres in tranquil Yandoit, 15 minutes from Daylesford & Castlemaine.

You are welcome to explore the rest of the 18 acres although please skirt around any other dwellings.

The space
Step into the epitome of cozy luxury with our charming Airbnb tiny home, a haven designed to redefine your escape and elevate your stay. This meticulously crafted dwelling promises a seamless blend of comfort and style, creating an unforgettable retreat for up to two guests.

Nestled in a serene locale, our tiny home boasts a prime position overlooking a lush valley, providing an intimate and private setting for your getaway. As you step onto the deck, you'll be greeted by country views that invite you to unwind and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.

Inside, discover a thoughtfully curated space that maximises space for both functionality and aesthetics. The interior is adorned with tasteful decor, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you choose to relax on the plush furnishings or nestle into the book nook, every corner of this tiny home exudes charm.

The well-equipped kitchenette allows you to whip up delightful meals or brew a cup of coffee to savour on the deck.

What sets our tiny home apart is its commitment to sustainability. Embrace eco-friendly living as you discover that our dwelling operates off the grid, minimising its environmental impact. We rely entirely on our solar panels and batteries ensuring that your stay is not only luxurious but also eco-conscious.

Keeping things sustainable, our tiny home features a modern indoor compost toilet, providing a unique and environmentally friendly solution.

Situated on a sprawling 18-acre property in the tranquil enclave of Yandoit, our tiny home offers a sense of seclusion without sacrificing convenience. A mere 15-minute drive connects you to the vibrant towns of Daylesford and Castlemaine, providing access to local attractions and culinary delights.

In this tiny home, every detail has been carefully considered to create an atmosphere of relaxation and indulgence, all while treading lightly on the environment. It's not just a place to stay; it is a place where you can breathe fresh air, admire the stars, and reconnect with nature and each other.

FRIENDLY NOTE ON OFF GRID LIVING:

Cooling:
To ensure a reliable power supply for everyone on the property, we kindly ask for your cooperation in using the air conditioner exclusively for cooling the tiny house during daylight hours. Extended use beyond one hour may, regrettably, lead to a power cut. For your comfort, we recommend leveraging alternative solutions such as the portable fan, and taking advantage of the natural draft provided by both downstairs and upstairs windows whenever possible.

Heating:
We invite you to embrace the charming and romantic ambiance provided by our delightful fireplace. Ample kindling and firelighters are supplied for your convenience. We kindly request that guests refrain from utilising the split system for heating during the winter season, as it will be deactivated.

Water:
We harness all our water through rainwater tank and kindly request limiting showers to one per person per day and encourage you to be mindful of their duration, aiming for a few minutes.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we collectively strive to uphold a sustainable and enjoyable environment throughout your stay.
Guest access

As you come up the driveway take the right turn up the hill. The bend in the driveway may pose challenges for low-profile cars. If you feel uncertain about navigating these areas, we recommend parking your vehicle before the bend and walking a distance of 40 meters to reach your tiny home. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we appreciate your understanding in ensuring a smooth arrival experience.

You're not only invited to enjoy the intimacy of our tiny abode, but are also encouraged to explore the surrounding beauty of the property. Take a leisurely stroll to get to know the unique and endangered Box-Ironbark ecology. There are the elusive echidnas and squirrel gliders, lots of birds, wallabies and kangaroos amongst other animals. Follow the signs and the wide 4WD track across the valley to avoid the main house (tenants) and the caravan (Seb).

The 4WD track will take you by the solar panels and up and around to the dam where you can go for a swim or listen to the frog chorus. There is a mother tree at least 300 years old in the forest above the dam. You’re welcome to walk amongst the innovative ‘bush garden’ regeneration project where we are using Castlemaine’s garden clippings, fast tracking the creation of top soil on the property.

Other things to note
Please exercise caution and be mindful of your footing, as the area contains numerous rabbit warrens, ditches, and uneven surfaces.

Pet policy:
Due to the abundance of local wildlife like echidnas, squirrel gliders, birds, wallabies and kangaroos amongst other animals. We unfortunately can't accept dogs over 6kgs or dogs that need to be outside.

But we do love our furry friends and can make an exception for very small dogs that stay inside or are on a lead at all times when outside.

Additionally, we hope they are well behaved and won't chew or leave a mess of any kind in the tiny house.
