About the host

Host profile image
Lora Clemens and Kellie Simpson own and manage iTrip Vacations Atlanta. They provide owners and guests a positive, memorable experience through personalized short-term property management services in the greater metro Atlanta market.
Lora was a regional vice president of a retail company for 35 years. She was born and raised in Ohio, and her career took her to Indiana, Illinois and California. For over 20 years, she has made Atlanta her home.

Kellie has a background in Human Resources and has over 20+ years of experience sitting on HOA’s as President and various other positions. She also has property management experience managing her personal rental properties for 15+ years. Kellie also served on Non-Profit Boards and was a CASA for several years (Court Appointed Special Advocate). Kellie is originally from Wyoming and she landed in California in the early 90’s where she met her husband John and started her family. In 2007, her husband’s job brought them to Atlanta, and she never looked back. Her son Garrett is currently attending Kennesaw State majoring in Business.

Lora and Kellie meet in 2015. After Lora left her corporate retail position, they decided to start a business together. They developed a real estate investment company in which they bought forgotten houses and rehabbed them into beautiful family homes. Through their experience as investors, they became aware of the void in management companies that understood the needs of both owners and guests in short-term rentals. While managing their own properties, they developed a passion for creating memories for every guest. Lora and Kellie are excited to bring this experience and success to the urban vacation rental market in Atlanta.

The greater Atlanta area has so much to offer. Many people visit the city for music, sports, dining, culture and nightlife; however, they also want to support others in having a sublime experience while staying in 'Hotlanta'.

Why they chose this property

* **Historic & Civic Legacy:** Located on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue—renamed in 1994 to honor the “unofficial mayor” of Auburn Avenue—568 John Wesley Dobbs sits at the confluence of Old Fourth Ward and the Sweet Auburn Historic District, once dubbed the “richest Negro street in the world.” It’s the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and a living testament to Atlanta’s civil-rights heritage
* **Iconic Landmarks on Your Doorstep:** Guests are mere steps from the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park (including his Childhood Home and Ebenezer Baptist Church) and the APEX Museum—a panoramic African American history experience housed in the original John Wesley Dobbs building on Auburn Avenue
* **Trail-Driven Connectivity & Green Space:** With direct access to the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail and Historic Fourth Ward Park—home to a skate park, retention pond, and rotating public art like Tiny Doors—this address merges urban energy with outdoor recreation, all within walking or biking distance
* **Creative Pulse & Nightlife:** Edgewood Avenue’s secret speakeasies, art-laden facades, and pop-up galleries reflect a community where street art meets craft breweries. Mural-lined alleys and neighborhood markets foster a grassroots, peer-to-peer creative economy that keeps the area buzzing well past sunset
* **Next-Gen Dining Scene:** The local culinary landscape continually evolves—most recently with the opening of Communidad Taqueria, a Tex-Mex concept from Poco Loco alumni—underscoring Old Fourth Ward’s dedication to heritage-inspired flavors and innovative dining experiences
* **Dynamic Community Fabric:** A blend of long-time residents, young professionals, and artists drives intentional urban revitalization here. High-density infill, locally curated retail, and signature events—like the Sweet Auburn Music Festival and BeltLine Lantern Parade—cultivate a connected, yet diverse, neighborhood ethos
