Shuttle was suspended and not properly displayed on website but nearby hotels have shuttle service. Couldnt check in room because front desk personnel were gone before 11pm so paid for a night at Holiday Inn next door. NO COMMUNICATION with manager after leaving many messages on phone. Room wasnt very clean and hallways smelled like cigarettes. I shouldnt have to pay for this trip. No compensation for this giant mess. It was horrible RUINED my anniversary. Only good thing was there was hot water and WiFi. Dont go here. This happened to another couple the night before. Horrible service!
I reserved through Expedia for Memorial Day weekend, I failed in checking the status of the hotel on other search databases, to my surprise this hotel is marked as “permanently closed” in google. I don’t know what’s going on here, upon arrival to the hotel, a person checked us in for clarion hotel-the sister hotel next to it. Later a night we needed help as our key deactivated, but there were no reception staff, the hotel was dirty-abandoned, the Pool had not had maintenance in the longest time, they do not offer shuttle to the parks, neither they offer breakfast, all which are listed as services.
Expedia ended up re-accommodating me in another hotel. Do not stay here, or make sure the hotel is properly opened and running.
We stayed econo Lodge in Orlando on the night of May 26. When we landed I called the direct number to see where to pick up the shuttle since it said on the hotels.com where I booked the room that the airport shuttle was included. The phone rang busy for over an hour as we stood with most of the vans were picking people up at never saw the Econolodge. I tried calling choice.com 800 number and they told me they had no information I needed to get a hold of hotels.com who was not open during that time. Leaving no other choice I had to get a $20 Uber to get to the hotel which is one of the reasons I booked a hotel so I did not have to spend money on an Uber. Once we arrived I thought that the hotel was shut down. Everything was dark and there were no lights on but there was a guy at the front desk. I told him the problem. He said oh we’re not Econolodge anymore so that number is no longer so you wouldn’t have gone A hold of anyone but it doesn’t matter cause we don’t have a shuttle service anymore. In the morning we went to go get a complementary breakfast and that also was not open. It was like a ghost town in there. All the furniture was wrapped in bubble wrap and no lights were on. The reason I booked through hotels.com specifically was to get a ride from the hotel and a free breakfast. When I told the front desk guy he said I need to contact hotels.com. When I talk to hotels.com they told me to call the hotel, getting the run around
This hotel has filty rugs. They had to change my room in the back fisrt floor because it has little lizzards inside. The second room was in the front street view. Same thing filty rugs, smelly room. We put some juices and a pound cake in the fridge. When we came back that night there was a big waterbug inside the cake. It was gross...The exit door were jammed open all night. So anybody can come and wonder around. This hotel needs to be closed and redone.
Didn't like anything because everything on your website for the hotel was not available and you didn't help me out with your mistakes and now I have contacted a lawyer and you are going down for false advertising and pain and suffering
May 2021, This hotel is still using Covid excuses. The only thing "open" in this hotel was a bed to sleep in and a TV to watch. LITERALLY everything else is shut down, locked, roped off, or chained up. I booked a room here specifically because they advertised Free Airport Shuttle. When I arrived at the airport, I called the hotel contact phone number over SIXTY times with no answer. I called Orbitz for help...and they couldn't get anyone to answer. So, 2 hours and an expensive Uber ride later. I arrive at the Econo Lodge to find no front desk person. The maintenance man checked me into a room and apologized, showing me a small sign that the shuttle has not run since March 2020, and said the phones "must be down." No breakfast. No coffee in the room or in the lobby. Pool was sewer green and chained off. No chairs to sit in ANYWHERE on the property. It was a ghost town. I sat outside on the curb and watched the neighbor hotel's airport shuttle run back and forth. Covid restrictions magically disappeared over the property line. It was just this hotel. I made the wrong choice. One of my worst hotel experiences to date. Such false advertisement on Orbitz. They should not be allowed to offer rooms on the Orbitz site until they start providing the services advertised & that I paid for.
You will not be staying at this hotel, but the Clarion next door. There is a note on the door of the Econo that says to check in there, and that’s where our room was as well. All the towels in our room were dirty and the shower did not turn on. The pool and hot tub are closed. There is no coffee in the room or breakfast. The hotel is a labyrinth and very complicated to navigate. Some elevators do not work. Overall very dirty in the hallways as well. The courtyard where the pool is at is full of nettles. Upon checkout the staff said they would contact me to make things right, but they did not.
Bad experience. I arrived at midnight with my family ( daughter sleeping) and nobody on the front desk, the telephone didn’t work and nobody could help me. At 1 am, we had to go to other hotel closer the zone. Currently. I am waiting to receive the money back.
When we arrived at the hotel there were four other people waiting in the lobby to check in. Some of them had been there for hours. There was no one there to check us in. Finally around 1:00 am we all left and had to find new hotels to stay in.l
Pésimo lugar parece casa de espanto, es caro y horrible no lo recomiendo....

Disliked: Staff & service
We had a reservation at the Econo Lodge and when we arrived at 11:30pm after our flight there was no one to be found! No staff members anywhere and about 15 other travelers waiting as well. Calls directly to the hotel went unanswered, we could here the phone ringing in the back room. We of course left and when I inquired about a refund was told by Orbitz they needed to contact the hotel. Of course they couldn't get a response either! So here we are nearly 6 months later and I have still not been refunded my money for a stay I never got. Very unprofessional all the way around!
It was advertised having a pool, breakfast and bar. None were available. they stated because of the covid, i can understand that, then why wasn't the web page changed.
Book Econolodge, which was attached to Clarion. Ended up staying in a clarion room, which were probably nicer anyways. Layout confusing. Water knob temps were backwards. Was quiet. Not a TERRIBLE stay for one night. Close to the airport.
A huge problem getting clean towels, I called the phone line always busy, it doesnt work, I walked to the Lobby multiple times spoke to Melvin and others, ask get clean towels, no one ever came to drop off to my room how I was told. I have to complaint and get them myself at the front desk on a daily basis, no clean sheets given to me at all, sanitary services and essential services are horrible, never again.

Really??
When we checked in, we were given a room on the fourth floor. Elevator was broken, and the room had stuff under the bed, hair on the toilet and tub and there wasnt any toiletpaper or wash cloths. When i went to check out, i waited 20 minutes and still got no service. We had a car to drop off and a plane to catch so I had to leave the key cards at an empty counter. I won't stay there again.
This is the most horrible hotel that I have ever been
Very disappointed.
I have been in different Econolodge and they have been ok, but this property is horrible, trash everywhere, room is dirty, with a very bad smell..
Its NOT what they show on the pictures...
Its NOT what they offer...
Have a very bad experience.
