A lovely place to get away with the family. The lounge/dining room and balcony catch the sun and give lots of space to stretch out and relax. The fire made it cosy at night.
The kitchen is tiny with only room for one but it is well stocked with all the utensils you could need and a good pod coffee maker.
The house is close to restaurants and an IGA supermarket.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
From the moment we entered the property we were in awe of the view. There is also a resident seal that loves to put on a show each morning before sunrise which can be viewed from bed. Best sunrises ever and despite it being June and chilly we had a balmy 18 degree day where I even went for a dip in the Tasman Sea. At night the fire warms the entire house allowing plenty of warmth for the bedrooms as well. Comfortable beds with beautiful linen. A fabulous stay overall. Tips: there are minimal supplies so if your driving from Hobart pick up some goodies as the local IGA doesn’t stock a lot. It’s a 50 min drive to Freycinet as well. Wineries are worth checking out and Kate’s berry farm is good for coffee and treats. Bicheno worth a stop to see the blow hole and eat some fresh seafood at the Lobster Shack.
Would I stay at the hideaway again ~ absolutely! Just brilliant.
Ps) bring an oyster shucker - on the bluff there are so many to feast on.
