Find beach rentals near Athéras Beach

My husband and I stayed at Kalivaki for 6 nights and found it very hard to leave. Such a beautiful cottage surrounded by an equally beautiful (and large) garden and terraces. Everything you need to start your holiday is provided as well as many items you didn’t realise you might need. A generous welcome package of fruit, wine and beer was also provided with everything from salt and pepper to coffee, tea, herbs and spices and the owners own delicious olive oil. We had rented a very expensive villa in Lefkada the week before and not one of the basics were provided. The cottage is located in an ideal spot with two restaurants/tavernas only a few minutes walk from it. A very short trip to the beautiful Myrtos beach, the port town of Agia Effimia and other points of interest. I really can’t find the words to describe how magical our stay was. Thank you Gerry, if we return to Kefalonia, Kalivaki is where we’ll definitely stay. Kind regards Fiona and David

We had a great stay at Thalassa! Beautiful property in a great spot with two balconies. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Assos.

The house is located in the favourable north of the island short drives (10-15 mins) from beautiful Assos, Fiskardo & several great beaches, within a tranquil small hamlet of just a few private houses, most of which seemed unoccupied. All one can hear from the house are the soft sounds of nature. A true getaway. Anna is a warm and generous host, and opens her quintessential greek home to guests as though they were friends. Clear instructions for reaching the home, straightforward self access, a full meal presented on the table on arrival, just what we needed after a long day of travel and rumbling tummies. While the interior decor is not cutting edge terence conran design, it is a very clean comfortable well maintained & functional home, with all the privacy you could ask for. But the real jewel is revealed on stepping outside to the pool area with its breathtaking view over the sea and limestone cliffs beyond, as well as eating breakfast on the front terrace with further incredible views, shaded from the morning sun. A few points to note: There's a good wifi connection, but unfortunately the signal doesn't reach the pool area. It does however service the terrace & the house from within. Secondly, there is an aircon unit in the master bedroom, but not elsewhere in the house. That said, there were a couple of portable fans, which were effective & we put them in the 2nd bedroom. Whilst the lack if aircon throughout might bother some, the reality is, between time on the terrace, down at the beach, around the pool & meals out & about, we were hardly inside to really notice. Finally, car hire is essential. If you're not wanting to hire a car, I'd suggest staying in Fiskardo.

This residence is ideally suited for the getaway holiday. There's plenty to see & do on Kefalonia & Zola is a lovely quite place to spring off from. You do need a car, but anywhere on Kefalonia you need a car if you're going to see the islands full beauty. The property owners are easily contactable & help with everything. Advice we received was helpful & accurate so absolutely no problems. The home is well set on the western slope of the bay with fantastic views in all directions. All of the service staff were lovely & chats with them proved very informative. We loved our stay here. Highly recommended for price, position & comfort. Thanks guys!
