Brimont rentals with pool

We had a short stay in Reims, the apartment was in prime position and well appointed, it was unfortunate there were several road and building works outside the apartment.

Hosts are very friendly and welcoming but the property is not as advertised.This is Not a private house rental- it is a barn conversion that is attached to the owners house through an open courtyard and another part of the property that is also attached and is rented separately that is not mentioned. Every window faces the courtyard and there are no curtains on the downstairs windows, front nor back. The owner and other rental house have access to all the gardens and pool and utility sheds (4) in the courtyard around you and the entire back garden and pool (not open) Whilst there was noone renting the other property, we would have felt extremely uncomfortable having strangers being able to easily see in. We raised our concerns with the owner immediately but they were in the courtyard and back garden every day. This would be fine if it was explained in the listing, and as such we would not have booked this property. The property has an old world style but the gardens not maintained to the standard shown in the pictures. The back stairs are overgrown and covered in moss. The shutters are peeling paint badly. The furnishings are worn out.There is no TV, but a sound system. A dvd and video are advertised but have to ask for them to be set up. Beds are too uncomfortable to sleep. Il-equipped kitchen. No electric jug or nespresso though pictured. No laundry. It is way too expensive for what it is. It should be half the price.
