Have stayed here a few times. Staff are always willing to go the extra mile, always cheerful and courteous. I had an issue with my fridge and they replaced it quite quickly.

If it’s kowtowing and staff making you fee like the person you wish you were, then find somewhere else to stay. This hotel is far too good for you. We frequent this hotel at least once a year. The recently refurbished breakfast buffet is on par with every other breakfast buffet you’ll find out there. The kind staff are never overbearing. You never have to put up with an expatriate staff member greeting you with insincerity. The Frand Mercure feels more like home. And just like home it’s a little rough around the edges, but that is exactly why we will continue to patronise his establishment.
