Shared Spaces Policy
Summary
We want our guests to enjoy their stay in privacy. That’s why Stayz only supports private rental spaces, not shared spaces, Shared rental spaces with hosts or other guests are not allowed.
Access to the home
We expect every property listed on Stayz to have its own secure entry, with a lock that is controlled solely by guests. Access to this private space should not be through the host’s living area. Common spaces, like hallways in condominiums that lead to the entry, are not considered to be part of the rental space and may be shared with others.
Shared amenities
Guests may be offered the use of a shared amenity outside of the holiday rental, such as a laundry, recreation area, or community pool. Hosts should clearly disclose these shared amenities on the property description page.
Exceptions
Certain types of holiday rentals, such as micro-studios, may offer common kitchens or bathrooms, which do not violate this policy.
Enforcement
Note to hosts: If you’re unsure whether your property is suitable to be listed on Stayz, please contact us. If we confirm that the property is in violation of this policy, this could result in suspension or termination from our platform.
