If its the faster pace your missing Nelson Bay is only a 10 min drive into the CBD and Marina, offering award winning restaurants, cafes, boutique shopping & supermarket. Salamander Shopping Complex is only a 10 min drive away offering Woolworths, Bi-Lo, K-Mart, Target, Butchers etc. and lots of smaller stores & eating options.

Anna Bay is the gateway to the Sand Dunes, adventure tours include 6WD, Quad Bikes, Sand Boarding, Horse riding or take your own 4WD after obtaining a permit at the local service station.

Try a morning stroll along beautiful Birubi Beach, kms of unspoilt beauty, it's a great way to start the day or a late afternoon stroll & enjoy one of the fantastic sunsets. Why not try your hand at some fishing, pippis abound so you'll always have bait but don't forget your Fishing License (local service station).

Tobbogin Hill Park is another day out for the family, Tobbogin run, tractor rides and maze. David Graham's Golf Complex has Putt Putt Golf, Driving Range & Nine Hole Golf Course.

Port Stephens Winery :Visit the Award Winning Local Winery, Picnic areas, Tastings & Gourmet products available.

Horizons Golf Course (home of the Australian Women's Open ) is only 10 min drive away.

Drive Yourself Tours: (eta 20 min drive) Visit Tanilba Bay & go for a walk through the Koala Habitat (Don't forget to look up). Visit Tanilba House built by the convicts in 1931. A further drive will take you to Lemon Tree Passage, lunch of Fish & Chips by the water & a play area for the children.

Fighter World at William Town Air Base: (eta 25min drive) A worthwhile visit and not far from the turn off to Tanilba Bay.
