COSY two bedroom cottage, perfect for a romantic getaway or holiday with friends or family.
The cottage is home to a collection of antiques and curios collected by its owners over many years giving it a sense of character and a home away from home feel rather than a holiday house. lovers of history will enjoy stepping back in time and soaking up the atmosphere of the secret garden cottage.
Garden lovers will appreciate the private english style cottage garden filled with birds and flowers, especially in spring when it is at its best! Owner Fiona is a landscape designer / garden writer / TV presenter so the garden is sure to please.
Large comfortable beds - King and Queen fitted with quality 100% cotton sheets & electric blankets. There are also heaters in each of the rooms to keep you lovely and warm during winter.
Lounge room has romantic log firplace and two x 3 seater lounges
(option of gas heater if you do not want to use the fire)
In winter we supply a box of firewood and bucket of kindling usually enough for 1 to 2 nights.
(at other times you can buy it at service station or supermarket)
Entertainment :- modern flatscreen TV in lounge and also in the main bedroom - both with digital channels.
DVD and video player with large movie library in lounge.
CD player with ipod and iphone dock plus a great selection of CD's to while away the hours. Good selection of kids movies also available.
Fully equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils, oven, hotplate, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, everything you need for cooking meals at home.
Breakfast provisions are included as part of the price and include:- loaf of bread/ 1 litre of milk/butter/ assorted jams/tea /coffee/ eggs /cereal - plus variety of other cooking essentials can be found in cupboards.
Romantic clawfoot bathtub with overhead shower and continuous hot water - light some candles, add some bubble bath and soak away your city stress levels.
High chair and cot are available on request.
Extra single foldout bed available for children also on request.
Close to town and Blue mountains attractions - A very easy 10 minute walk (1km) or very short drive to the main st of Katoomba / train station / cafe's and restaurants.
Bus stop to take you to town located 60 metres from the cottage on Mort st.
Large established trees make a perfect backdrop and provide privacy to the english cottage style garden filled with flowers and fragrance. (private and fully fenced)
Sitting areas throughout the garden are positioned to make the most of the vistas. Water features give the garden an air of tranquility.
Spectacular spring/summer floral display and plenty of birds to keep you entertained.

If you love your pets as much as we do and want to take them on holidays with you Secret Garden Cottage welcomes them too!
Well behaved pets are welcome and you can feel secure if they are outside with a fully fenced rear garden they will love to explore. (solid timber paling fence 1.8 m height & tall iron gates with mesh to 1 metre so it is ideal for small and large dogs)
Off Leash park - Melrose park aprox 100 metres down Mort st, other walks in location maps at the cottage.
We have a dog bed, blanket, towels, bowls and a treat for your pet on arrival.
There is also a folder in the cottage filled with other useful pet information for your stay.
