Located in the Hinterland of the Great Lakes Shire, the lodge is located on a beef cattle farm formerly known as "Riverview Station".

Located in the Hinterland of the Great Lakes Shire just 15 miinutes by boat to Forster Tuncurry or 25 minutes by car to the Hallidays Point or Forster/Tuncurry main surfing beaches is "Sunbury Lodge". It is quite a unique location and environment.

If your interests are bush walking in rain forests, canoeing/boating/water ski-ing, four wheel driving, mud crabbing, fishing, yabbying, tennis, or simply just feeding the cattle, Sunbury Lodge has it all. Bring your own boat or canoe.

The property has a 1.5 kilometre water front access to the Wang Wauk and Cooloongolook River system, flowing into the Great Lakes. These pristine waters are rarely fished and carry an abundance of flathead, brim, whiting, tailor and mud crabs. You can have a choice of fresh water fishing or salt water fishing. The dams on the property carry yellow belly and silver perch.

Accommodation at the lodge comprises 8 motel rooms each with double and single beds. Private ensuite bathroom facilities. It is ideal for group bookings eg eight couples or family reunions.

In addition to the eight motel units their are two bunk houses for children, a very large recreational room, with communal kitchen, dining and bar facilities.

Catering is provided for by the traditional "bushtucker man" by request $30.00 per head. Meals are prepared in cast iron camp ovens cooked in the camp fire. The atmosphere is unforgetable. Minimum number for "Bushtucker man" is 10 adults.

"Tag along" four wheel drive tours are an additional activity and attraction. They are a speciality and are catered for from the lodge. They comprise a half day trip and you will be in low range four wheel drive.

Group bookings for water ski clubs, fishing clubs, archery clubs or simply nature lovers that wish to organise their own catering through the lodges communal kitchen should contact us for discounted rates. Minimum number for goup bookings is 20.
