Accommodation attractions

The seaside village of Sawtell (just 10kms south of Coffs Harbour) is one of the few villages left along the coast that still has a quaint unspoiled charm. Sawtell is bounded to the east by safe, patrolled surf beaches, to the north and south by unspoiled waterways and Bongil Bongil National Park, and to the west by scenic mountain ranges.
This unique geographic location makes Sawtell an ideal town for both visitors and locals alike.
Sawtell Shopping Village lends itself to browsing, shopping, eating and entertainment. All amenities are a short stroll from the B&B - you don't need a car. Sawtell definitely has a charm of its own, with its beautiful beaches and treelined streets, it's the perfect getaway whether for a day, a week or more.
Surfing, fishing, Sawtell Golf Club, tennis, RSL club, Bowls club, Sawtell Heritage Cinema and Sawtell Hotel (licenced in 1923). Your hosts are members of the Sawtell Golf club and will happily accompany you on the course if you desire. There is a small discount available if playing with a member of the club.
We have maps and suggestions for some wonderful bush walks, or beach and headland walks around Sawtell.

Shopping in Sawtell

Sawtell has a small shopping centre (remember, it's just around the corner!) with a delightful fig tree lined median strip. The newest boutique, "Deep Sea Moonlight Pearls, Sawtell" (famous in Broome) featuring Susan Pender jewelley offers a 10% discount to our lucky guests.
There are lookouts from the two headlands, a local cinema, some good walking areas near the river and the beach, a fine picnic area and playground near the mouth of Boambee Creek, good fishing (particularly for blackfish) in the creeks and the ocean, boat ramps at the two caravan and camping reserves, surfing, skin diving, attractive walks and drives in the surrounding bush, a good saltwater tidal swimming pool at Bonville Headland, safe swimming at Boambee Bay and the usual amenities for people who want to relax, such as bowling greens, tennis courts, a golf club and a croquet lawn.
