Mollymook - Location & Things to See & Do

Mollymook Beach is located an easy 2.5 hour drive south of Sydney and 1.5 hours from Canberra. Mollymook is located near the historic rural township of Milton and the bustling commercial fishing town of Ulladulla on the coast.

One of the attractions of the area is the pod of dolphins that are often seen surfing the waves around Mollymook beach.

A short stroll from SeaSALT will take you to Mollymook Beach for great swimming and surfing - the beach is patrolled during summer at both the southern and northern ends of Mollymook Beach, rest of year only at the southern end.

A short car trip will take you to nearby Narrawallee Beach and inlet, which is perfect for a spot of fishing and/or bbq picnic.

There is a natural rockpool - "Bogey Hole" at Collers Beach just a few minutes away by car or you can take a walk around the headland from the Surf Club, which is a great place to take the kids swimming and snorkelling.

You might like to try one of the many 4WD trails or walking/climbing trails at Pigeon House Mountain. Or a spot of deep sea fishing from one of the many charter boats that leave from Ulladulla harbour.

There are 2 golf courses to choose from - the 9 hole course located beachside or the hilltop 18 hole championship course. Mollymook Golf clubhouse on the beach provides a great spot to have a relaxing drink and meal with terrific views.

There is a great range of restaurants ranging from haute cuisine (Bannisters) to cafe style, or why not try the fresh seafood from the Ulladulla Wharf and have a cookup on the BBQ!!!

Ulladulla is approximately a 5 minute car trip from Mollymook Beach and is a large commercial town where you will find all major supermarkets, banks, cafes, Baker's Delight, movie theatre and the like. The Ulladulla Wharf Markets are held every 2nd Sunday of the month.

At Milton you will find a number of craft shops, antique stores and galleries, plus a number of gourmet cafes, with a couple of fresh and organic food providores.

A Country Market is held at Milton the first Saturday of every month. The Milton Scarecrow & Harvest Festival this year will be held on June long weekend. The Milton Settlers Fair will be held on the October long weekend.

  • "From beginning to end the whole holiday was excellent. All the booking and other arrangements were smoothly dealt with and then from arrival to departure it was just great. A very comfortable house in a good location and close to all the best features of Mollymook. In short a really enjoyable, thoroughly relaxing holiday for the children and the oldies too."

  • "Clean and modern, SeaSalt was a perfect configuration for two families with littlies (and one on the way). Even though the weather wasn't great all week, we enjoyed just chilling out in the comfy surrounds and it was only a short walk down to the beach when the sun did come out. The lovely views and keyless entry were a bonus."

  • "We had a lovely time at SeaSALT. Travelling with an 8 month old baby is never easy but SeaSALT proved to be very baby friendly as well as being clean, modern and comfortable for us. We were very happy with the location, including the view and the sound of the waves at night. Mollymook is well located for visiting Milton, Ulladulla and surrounds and made a day trip to Tilba quite easy. I would recommend staying here for any family (or two)."
