Maranda Country House is set on three acres and is a wonderful Australian Colonial Home with traditional Bull Nose Verandah to the front and rear. Maranda boasts a large refreshing pool and a private screened four person spa/hot tub as well as some of the best views in the Hunter Valley.

Maranda is located on the outskirts of the village of Broke on semi-rural land and next to Mount Eyre Vineyard and gives complete privacy. Maranda has polished timber floors, nine foot ceilings, a spacious lounge with huge 50inch Plasma TV and a magnificent dining room with huge dining table. Maranda has panoramic views of the local vineyards, hills and ranges. Maranda has 5 reverse cycle air conditioners plus ceiling fans and wood burning fire making it the perfect retreat all year around. A fully equipped kitchen and a modern BBQ provide the means to be self sufficient so you can kick back with your favorite wine and enjoy the ambience.

Maranda can sleep 4-13 people comfortably (15 if you take the converted conference room). So if your group is large or small Maranda will weave her magic and transport you to a place of peace and tranquility that you will find hard to leave. Highlights include a sensational dining room which comfortably sits 14 with stunning 180 degree stunning views over vineyards and mountain ranges.

The accommodation comprises four queen bedrooms, three in the main house plus a queen bed self contained studio next to the main house. The house also has two large hotel quality fully sprung sofa beds with 8" mattresses, one in the lounge and the other in the dining room which means the house provides private comfortable accommodation for 4 to 13 people. For a small extra cost we can convert the conference room on the property to a large queen bedroom with own toilet, air conditioner and large plasma TV to give 5 separate bedrooms and allowing accommodation for up to 15 guests.

The studio comes with queen bed and double sofa bed (sleeps 3-4) bathroom, TV & video, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. We also have two single foam mattresses which are handy for children if they need to sleep in the same room as their parents.

We can arrange your complete Hunter Valley experience including fantastic wine tours, discounted golf at the best courses in the Hunter, Resort Passes (for use of pools, spa, tennis courts and Gym), Hot Air Balloon rides, Beauty Therapy and massage options and a full variety of catering and personal dining experiences. We can arrange special occasion cakes or even send a chef to cook and serve you a special meal at the property or just drop off freshly prepared meals or platters. You only need to ask and we will make it happen.

We supply all linen and towels plus all bathrooms are equipped with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soap and hair dryers. The kitchen is stocked with all cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking pots and pans. We also provide foil and cling film, kitchen paper and detergents. We supply locally produced olive oil, coffee, tea and sugar plus fresh plunger coffee for your stay. We even throw in a good bottle of Hunter wine to make you feel at home. All properties have BBQ's

Tariff

WEEKEND RATES (2 nights) (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun)
* The nightly weekend rate for up to 6 guests is $685 per night (2 night minimum - see 1 night rates below).
* Extra adult guests are charged at $95 per person per night.
* Children are charge $60 per child (2 years to 13 years).
* Infants under 2 are free.
* A Lazy afternoon checkout may be available at $120 per stay, allowing you to use the property on the day of departure until 5pm. (subject to availability)
* An early check in of 12pm may be available for $50 per stay (subject to availability)

MID WEEK RATES (2 nights)
*Midweek rates are charged at 28% discount off the weekend tariff.

ONE NIGHT WEEKEND or MIDWEEK BOOKINGS
*One night bookings are available. Please contact us for a quote.

WEEKLY RATES AND LONGER STAYS
* Discounts are available on stays of 5 nights and over, please contact us for a quote.

OTHER CHARGES
* A deposit of 50% of the total rate is required by credit card to secure the booking. A $300 holding deposit can hold the property for 14 days if you need to collect payment from other guests.
* The outstanding balance is due 14 days before your arrival date.
* The guest responsible for the booking must register with Events in the Vines, by phoning the office, at least 24hrs before check in, to provide their credit card details, which may be used to cover incidental items such as (but not limited to): telephone charges on the house landline, any breakages or damage incurred during your stay, or cleaning charges in excess of the normal level of cleaning.
* Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas and New Year bookings must be for a minimum of 8 or more guests and are a minimum 3 night stay at full weekend rate.
* Concert weekends must be a minimum of 8 or more guest.
