For over 6 years this award winning Studio Apartment has delighted guests from all over Australia and the world. It's perfect for your stay in Hobart, whether you are a couple or a single. Our guests' comments made Sunray an award winning property in 2009 in "Best Places To Stay" - a personalised meeting gives you a friendly welcome to start your stay.

NB: Sunray has a queen size bed only, for one or two persons.

Central Location:
Sunray is a popular, private, affordable, perfectly positioned and well-appointed home away from home. Just 5 minutes' walk through St David's Park to Salamanca Place, Salamanca Market and the waterfront. It's in the city on the edge of Battery Point.

Lots of good restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and bars to choose from within 10 minutes' walk, along with delicatessens, the Salmon Shop, fresh food stores and a 24 hour bakery.

The breathtaking Tasmanian Wilderness is just 30 minutes by car.

Our guests love the convenient city location and the extra touches that give you that 'home-away-from-home' feel. This is affordable, clean, friendly, comfortable accommodation for the visitor in a fantastic handy location - when we say central, we really mean it! Less than 10 minutes' walk to the GPO, shops, CBD, churches, hospitals, Parliament House, Visitor Information Centre, Constitution Dock, ferry terminals, museums, galleries and historic villages.

Just 5 minutes to the ferry for the incredible, world class MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) - HOBART'S $175 million privately owned MONA has been named among the best experiences in the world, according to Gourmet Traveler in it's annual Hot 100 list.

So many visitor highlights are within walking distance that you might not need a car - perfect for an easy, relaxing break.

Accommodation:
Sunray has it's own homely feel; a private, clean, comfortable, non-smoking, Studio Apartment. No charge for an infant under 3 if sharing your bedding or we can arrange hire of a porta cot etc. during your stay in Tasmania.

Inclusions:
Your rate includes early check in and late check out at no charge (when available), initial tea and fresh coffee making supplies, personalised check in with local briefing, and all linen.

Breakfast supplies in your apartment or daily servicing can be arranged.

Facilities:
If you're looking for a brand new high-rise apartment, we are not for you. Our building is listed amongst the Significant Architecture of Tasmania but behind the 40's art-deco facade is your modern, cozy, studio apartment in a convenient ground floor garden location. Double glazing ensures maximum warmth and minimum noise.
Your own kitchenette has facilities for light meal preparation. You have a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, frypan and steamer, crockery, cutlery and glassware. No stove.
The bathroom has toilet, shower, hairdryer and heated towel rail.
The main room has an HD TV (18 channels) with DVD player, free movies, CD player/radio, lounge, heating, clock radio alarm and queen size bed with electric blankets and feather doona.

We have a laundry service but no onsite laundry.
There is ample on-street parking but no off-street.

Value:
For less than the cost of a hotel room in this area you can have your own private little home near the waterfront, with all the personal touches a hotel doesn't give you.
