The Ridge is a stunning three-bedroom luxury home situated on ten acres of untouched tropical rainforest.

The villa has its own private in ground pool and glorious ocean and valley views. The property also features a private tennis court that can only be accessed by those staying at the house.

This property is completely secluded, private and quiet, yet is located just four minutes drive from lively Airlie Beach. Abel Point Marina is three minutes away and is a great place to start exploring the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef. Fishing, diving, snorkelling or exploring the Whitsunday Islands starts here.

The elevated property has full-length verandahs with amazing sea and valley views over the Whitsundays and out to the Whitsunday Islands.

The house has been recently refurbished and renovated. All three bedrooms are air-conditioned. The main bedroom has its own ensuite and walk in wardrobe and king size bed with views over the valley and out to sea. The second bedroom backs on to the rainforest with a queen size bed. The third bedroom has two single beds.

The lounge room and living areas have magnificent views and the house is equipped with a brand new 76cm Plasma television, stereo/CD and DVD player.

There is a fully equipped kitchen including fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher etc. The little things have also been taken care of - from bottle openers in the kitchen to hairdryers in the bathroom there is everything you need provided to make you holiday special.

Undercover and garaged parking for at least two cars is also available at no extra charge.

This retreat is ideal for anyone seeking a unique and blissful holiday retreat, especially bird watchers, honeymooners or nudists!! Experience the absolute privacy of this beautiful property while enjoying the gorgeous Whitsundays.

Why Stay at the Ridge.....

* Read our testimonials and compare them to other accomodation offered in and around Airlie Beach. Many establishments don't have any comments in their online guestbook which only guests who have stayed can access and make comment in through this site.

* The Ridge is 3 km from Airlie Beach and all the restaurants and Cafes you could want to sample. However its away from the hustle and bustle to allow you to truly relax in very spacious surroundings not an apartment but a massive villa!! Get away from it all and then duck in to town for dinner - however if you prefer to cook the supermarkets are a $5 cab ride. Abel Point Marina is just 2 km away and after having spent the day at the reef its nice to come home to your own private oasis away from everyone but close to everything!!!

* Many of the so called luxury apartments are situated up the back of Airlie Beach and many require a 500-800 metre walk up very steep roads. Whilst the Ridge is on the side of a Ridge we are up front to say that there is a 300m driveway and walking anywhere uphill in the tropics in summer is not easy but we are telling you to hire a car or take a cab!!! Like the Amalfi Coast of Italy don't get caught thinking you are staying in an Airlie apartment and its just walking distance when you have that far to walk each day - it will ruin your holiday. Make sure you check with these apartments on their exact location before you book.

Min Stay 4 nights - price is for 4 adults. Extra adults are charged at $25 per person per night. Max 6 adults.

Sorry but absolutely no pets as this property is surrounded by National Park and is one of only 20 Nature refuges in Queensland and is home to rare Proserpine Rock Wallabies

April 05 - Many thanks... Our group had the most wonderful time... it was just what was needed. We will hope to book again with some friends again next year.
The house was super well equipped.. enjoyed playing the games.. and I cooked using the excellent kitchen.
We used taxis with no hitch.. the taxi service is outstanding.
Our holiday that seemed to be doomed from every which way, ended up being better than we could have expected.


April 05 - WOW - your photos don't do it justice - I would suggest some sort of video as they views are spectacular. We were a little worried about being just out of town as our travelling friends were in Airlie. However, only 3 kms and the taxi service was great. Plus we had our own private mansion on the hill, away from the crowds and our friends were all packed in to their little units in Airlie. Thanks again for looking after us so well and letting us share that piece of paradise!!! ps love the interior design - back soon
