Boat Hound is a roomy modern house, with direct private pontoon frontage onto Skipper's canal Pacific Harbour. minutes from the Bribie Passage.
The house has 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. 2 bedrooms have queen sized beds and the 3rd. a double decked full size bunk bed The master bedroom has its own TV & can be closed off from the rest of the house for total privacy.(parents retreat) A large air con. serves the main living areas and a large TV and DVD player is in the spacious living room. The rear deck is fully furnished for alfresco dining or just totally relaxing over a quiet drink with friends (see photo gallery) Bring your own boat, launch it on arrival, moor it at your own back door and park your trailer - then Relax.

Guests normally supply their own sheets, pillowslips, & towels but if not convenient it can be supplied at a small extra cost.

Holiday was terrific. The house had all the little things that make a holiday so refreshing and relaxing. Although the crabbing was slow, the fishing from the pontoon was excellent. We caught everything from monster flathead and bream to estuary cod and sweetlip. Brilliant!!!! Can't wait till next year.

Even though the weather wasn't so good BoatHound provided a great family holiday and we would definately return.
Having our dog with us it was great to have the dog park across the road and the boat in the canal.IGA a short stroll away.No need to get in your car.The house is very clean,modern and comfortable.Truly relaxing overlooking the water.

This house has everything you would ever need . Great holiday had by all. We will be returning every year now. It is always clean - where else could you walk out the back door and jump in your boat and go and catch 56 sand crabs in one week

We love this place, the position couldn't be better and the house was extremely well stocked even for Christmas dinner! We spent most of our time for the nine days we were there on the pontoon with a fishing rod hung over the edge! We love the canal lifestyle, watching the world go by! The one thing that would have made it complete for us would be a boat! Thanks Ken and Pauline for your hospitality, we will most definitely be returning to Boathound - hopefully soon!

We had a fantastic time not long enough though only 5 nights, couldn't believe the size of this duplex or how everything you need is at hand. We really felt right at home. Having access to our boat just out the back door was an awesome experience. Didn't catch anything legal size in fish but we did extremely well with 40 sand crabs within the canal. Had a great time. House was great. We had better luck with the fishing from the pontoon than in the passage. Caught a nice Flounder and had a good feed of Bream. Caught a couple of Snapper and a Mangrove Jack (both were too small though). Got a sandi also.
Lots of Butter Bream but they are fun to catch. The dogs had a great time also and the house had everything they needed. It was great just to be able to walk a few meters and cast in a line.
The house is also walking distance to the shops and very close to the beach.
We will be back again......

Faboulous, with dolphins around the jetty, catching flathead off the jetty and cooking them straight away on the great new barby. Our dog really loved it also. We would recomend it to anybody for a great holiday, our family even flew in from Melbourne. It was only half an hour drive to pick them up. Had a really relaxing holiday - even with the rain & wind - we couldnt put the boat in but fished off the pontoon. The point was to relax and unwind & the place allowed us to do just that. We went to the RSL and Movies and just enjoyed ourselves - thanks - had a great week!

We had a fantastic stay. The dogs loved it and everything for them was catered for. The house was very comfortable and well layed out. It was great to have the pontoon but we didnt catch any crabs and all the fish were too little to keep. Would recommend to anyone and will be back.

Everything you could ask for in a holiday - well appointed house; your own boat on a safe and secure pontoon and dolphins swimming past in the canal. Fish weren't biting but the weather was perfect and the stay was too short. We'll be back!

Cananl living is oh so quiet and classy with private pontoon...this was the perfect spot for our boating family sooo close to Brisbane it is a forgotten haven; 10 woofs from Mac!
