Guest Reviews

  • "Fair Light was simply stunning and the best place we have ever stayed."
    Rosemary, May 2008

  • "We are a family of 3, with a relatively calm 4 year old, and all of us were thoroughly enchanted by Fair Light - it was even better than we had imagined from the website. Beautiful house, spotlessly clean, with gorgeous antique furniture and other objects, and a fairly original kitchen - completely charming! Fresh flowers in every room gave off wonderful perfume. Really comfortable beds in spacious bedrooms with exquisite linen on them. A fantastic hamper of food for our first night and breakfast the next morning. Bedrooms had plenty of curtains to keep the early light out for a good night's sleep. Lots of heaters if you felt chilly, which was the case at night. The view when we woke in the morning was gorgeous, with only a couple of houses in the valley below separating the home from the water. The house was enormous for the 3 of us, but we made good use of most of it, having our meals and watching DVDs in the "guest wing", which was formerly an old church. The garden was huge, and great fun for our 4 year old. It was warm enough to eat breakfast outside most days, sitting on the front verandah - heaven. The village of Cygnet had everything we needed, and we had a lovely 5 day stay looking around the sites within a 2 hour radius. I'd definitely recommend the house, and it is certainly big enough for 2 small families, with plenty of room to avoid each other if you need to. "

  • "We stayed at Fairlight for 5 days and just wanted to stay for longer. What a fantastic house. Love the personal touches. The serenity of the bay was just what you needed after a day out and about in the area. Would recommend this house to anyone. We will be back. What a find."
