Nundoobah Retreat is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or just to escape and relax. Situated on the tranquil Dawson River which adjoins the magestic Manning River in the picturesque Manning Valley at Taree on the NSW Mid North Coast. The cottages have floor to ceiling glass which brings the view in and are in amidst 1,000 acres of pristine bushland with walking trails.
A complimentary bottle of chilled sparkling wine will be waiting in your cottage. The cottages contain kingsize
beds; double spa baths and double showers; self-contained granite kitchens; spacious living areas with double lounge,
dining table and log fire in winter; TV/VCR/CD facilities; books and games. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave and dishwasher. The luxury bathroom contains candles and scented bath oils for a romantic afternoon spa.
Nundoobah Retreat has a new synthetic grass tennis court, a pontoon for boat owners, and a floating dock for wave-runner jet boats and boat ramp. Explore the magnificent 150 kilometres of waterways of Australia’s only delta river system.
There are also many picturesque forest walks in the area, providing a variety of spectacular river views. There’s a rich sense of history about the place. The Aboriginal heritage of the area is celebrated at Nundoobah (meaning “place of the grass tree”) through a fine collection of woodcarvings, sculpture and paintings. Some of the larger carvings are located in the gardens, where guests are serenaded daily by
the local birdlife. A gourmet breakfast pack includes cereals,
juices, plunger coffee, bacon and eggs. Each cottage has a barbeque, and a meat pack is available on request.
There are several excellent eateries in Taree, with meals able to be delivered from the highly acclaimed FishFishFish restaurant. If you owe yourself a break, get to Nundoobah Retreat!
