STUNNING GUEST FACILITIES:

OBC is the ideal destination to relax, unwind and reconnect with nature, as well as with your loved ones!

Oak Beach is surrounded by lush tropical rainforest and palm trees. The beach is uncrowded and is perfect for swimming, sun bathing, picnicing, snorkelling.....or just lazing about!

You might be lucky and see dolphins in the Coral Sea.

OBC consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The beach house has been created by one of Australia's leading interior designers and presents with a unique combination of "contemporary colonialism".

The master bedroom has its own king sized bed and large ensuite and overlooks the private pool.

The second bedroom also overlooks the tropical gardens and pool. The bed can be configured for two king single beds or as a king sized bed.

The bungalow, separate to the main house, has a queen sized bed and has spectacular views of swaying palm tress and the Coral sea. The sound of the ocean will gently rock you to sleep each night!

The living and dining areas face the Coral Sea and capture the sea breezes. The French doors on the 'beach side' open out to a wide 'Queensland style' undercover verandah, where you can dine al fresco... or you can relax in the various lounging areas... or walk straight on to the golden sands of the unspoilt beach.

Perhaps if 'pool side' is more your thing... you can 'escape' from the ocean and enjoy a cool refreshing swim in the totally private salt water swimming pool.

Or you may want to spread out on the day bed and read a book or open a bottle of wine and enjoy a BBQ....or catch up on a tan.

Whatever you decide to do, you will be mesmerised by the natural beauty of Oak Beach and its surrounds. It won't take long for you to be totally relaxed and wishing life was always this good!

RELAXING ACTIVITIES!

Depending on how you feel, you can do a lot at OBC, or you can do nothing and simply enjoy the beauty that Oak Beach has to offer.

You can relax in the hammock or one of the many sun lounges, day beds, or simply snooze in one of the luxurious bedrooms.

Or you can walk along Oak Beach, which incidentally is over a kilometre long and marvel at the tropical vegetation growing right up to the shoreline or snorkel off the beach in the clear warm water.

With prior notice, we can organise an in home massage or catering for you.

Or if you are feeling more adventurous, Port Douglas is only a 12 minute drive away. Port, as the locals call it, oozes tropical charm and has a unique fishing village feel.

There are numerous craft shops, cafes, restaurants and bars to explore or if you are feeling really energetic, you can chose from one of two golf courses or play a game of tennis.

If you are feeling more like a tourist, there are some spectacular destinations to visit and enjoy including;

• A trip out to the world famous Barrier Reef, where you can also snorkel or dive.
• Game Fishing.
• The Daintree Rainfores, where you really feel you have gone back in time!
• Mossman Gorge.
• Sky Rail to Kuranda and steam train return.
• Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary.
• Karnak Playhouse.
• Atherton Tablelands.
• Cairns, an interesting tropical city.

This is only a few of the many exciting destinations to vist!!

Guest Reviews
This is a truly magnificent location. Peace and tranquility... A hammock overlooking the Coral Sea... Beautiful accommodation. If you are tempted, you should just book it. You won't be disappointed. If the opportunity arises, we will go again.

Lovely beach cottage, we really felt like we got away from it all. Best thing was it felt like a home and that added to the relaxation factor as we felt immediately comfortable. Blood Orange the gourmet deli and vege market in Port Douglas was great as was Cape Tribulation - what a spot!

OBC is the perfect place for a family holiday.
Long walks along the deserted beach collecting coconuts, playing board games, swiming in the pool or toasting marshmellows on the camp fire,OBC has it all.Everywhere is only a 15-20min drive away making OBC very central for all day trips.
OBC has everything and comes highly recomended.

I booked Oak beach a year in advance so as not to miss out, we had stared at the website in previous years but decided to wait untill the kids were old enough(6 and 8) to occupy themselves on the beach and in the pool so we could truly enjoy it. We were not disappointed. Everything was amazing, the kids hardly got out of the pool and we barely left the house. We only ventured out to the reef twice and Port Douglas every night for amazing dinners. The weather was perfect, the house is perfect, no resorts ever again for us. As a holiday rental owner myself I welcomed being the renter not the rentee for once and have taken a little of Oak beach back with me to Melbourne.

OBC was brilliant, - pure luxury yet not so over the top that you couldn't relax. We loved the location, - its very private nestled on a beach with only a dozen other homes. The kids (aged 10 & 12) loved the pool surrounded by the stunning tropical garden. Extra's like the "day bed" next to the pool, hammock out the front by the ocean, fresh flowers upon arrival & the stylish yet comfortable furnishings make OBC an ideal and special holiday location. Its like a holiday in a Vogue home without attitude. We loved OBC and will be back.

It doesn't get much better than this. A beautiful house in an amazing location. You won't want to leave - we certainly didn't.
Close enough to the great restaurants and action of Port Douglas but far enough away to feel completely relaxed and away from it all.
I would defintiely recommend OBC.

I've searched the world over to find the little slice of heaven that is OBC. It's true that the best things in life are quite often right infront of you...put the passport away!

Fabulous house and location. Stayed a week and felt we had stayed a month. Beautifully appointed but not precious. We felt relaxed with our 2 year old. Will definately be back. A true beachside holiday home.

Oak Beach is truly a special place. We had a glorious week of swimming, reading in the hammock, long walks on the beach and snorkeling. OBC is ideally located away from it all on a secluded beach, however within 10min you're in the hub of it all in Port Douglas. The ultimate escape .... we will be back. Thanks Paul for all your assistance and recommendations.
