Built in 1878, the pictureque limestone house has gabled roofs and shady lacework verandas overlooking nearly a hectare of rolling lawns and English gardens to Port Phillip Bay. At the rear of the garden you can play tennis on the grass court.
The large living room has a marble mantelpiece as well as a deep bay of windows at one end.
Double doors open into a dining room in which another two sets of French doors open both to the kitchen and to a side veranda.
Opening from the board entry hall are two large bedrooms with ornamental fireplaces, and two bathrooms.
Upstairs are two more bedrooms.
At the side of the house is an original, gabled limestone cottage called the Abbey containing a bedroom with an ensuite.
