Secluded Bed and Breakfast getaway set on a 430 acre property only 10 minutes walk from the town centre. The historic homestead was designed by Sir Talbot Hobbs in 1911 and boasts magnificent town and farm views over York.
Our guest rooms are separate from the homestead and offer privacy and tranquility while our queen-size ensuite bedrooms with separate sitting area provide every comfort and are a "home away from home". A cooked breakfast is served in the Tea House overlooking the gardens. Guests have the use of the tennis court, games room and swimming pool.
Our rambling country garden is filled with Australian native plants and cottage garden favourites and an amazing collection of old farming equipment and memorabilia affords hours of interest.
In addition, we offer visitors the choice of 3 self-contained cottages - ideal accommodation for small groups, families or couples.
Each cottage has three bedrooms and is fully furnished and equipped. Heating and cooling are standard to both cottages and all linen is provided. While two cottages are in the grounds of "Hillside", the other is in the town centre. The cottages may be rented on a weekly basis if desired.
A total of 30 people can now be accommodated at Hillside or 15 singles for conferences.

York is the ideal base from which to explore the Avon Valley and surrounding country towns. Sky-diving is a must in York, while Beverley provides gliding and the Avondale Discovery Farm. Northam is the hot-air ballooning centre and Cunderdin boasts a fascinating Museum. It also features displays of the results of the devastating earthquake in Meckering in 1968.
Stop-over in York en route to the famous Wave Rock in Hyden or further to the coastal cities of Albany and Esperance. Admire wonderful handcrafted furntiure from native West Australian timbers or trace our local history at the Residency Museum.
We can now also offer our guests a choice of 'Sophie's Retreat' with 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, sitting-room and fully equipped kitchen - perfectly suited to two couples or a small family.
Also the 'Stables Studio' with 2 person spa / shower, queen bed, sitting area and a small fully equipped kitchen which is ideal for that romantic escape!
Beverley Cottage, (a new addition), is a very comfortable, fully furnished 'home away from home' with 3 queen sized bedrooms. An extra-large verandah affords spectacular views over farmland and surrounding hills.
