Ithaca Cottage is comfortable, relaxing and well-appointed. It has splendid views from the front verandah where you can enjoy your glass of Mudgee wine or even a cup of tea watching the glorious sunset. The cottage is warm and cosy in winter with a slow combustion fireplace. For summer there is airconditioning in the living areas. It has three bedrooms and comfortably accommodates five adults or four adults and two children. There is a dishwasher and microwave and the kitchen is fully equipped. Enjoy the solitude, peace and quiet of a rural getaway while still being close to Mudgee's wineries and delightful cafes and restaurants.

We had a great stay at Ithaca. The weather turned cool but the house was warmed by the wood fire and very cosy. Beds were good and the horses very friendly! We will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed my stay with a group of lady friends. The cottage was very comfortable and homely. We loved that it was situated out of town yet close to places we liked to see and do. We enjoyed walks at "the Drip", Dunn's Swamp,Ferntree Gully and Munghorn Gap. It was easy to spend a day at historical Gulgong. Mudgee itself is a great little town with plenty to do and of course one can enjoy visiting any number of local wineries. Then it was great to return to the comfort of the cottage to enjoy the sunsets and feed the horses etc. A great place to spend a week!

A great place. We went as a group of writers all working on different projects and meeting up twice a day to discuss- this worked a treat. Sat around big wooden table/ lounge room to go over notes then sat at various other places to write alone (lounge- verandah- bedroom- back verandah)- if things got too hot then we just moved inside and worked in the AC. BBQ's at night was great fun and our writing mascot (Malcolm the dog) had plenty of places to play and plenty of farm animals to bark at. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Great property with beautiful, peaceful views and yet within driving distance to town centre (15 mins). Awesome to be able to pat the horses in the paddock and a yard for a bit of backyard cricket!
Inside, the bedrooms are spacious and clean and all amenities are top notch.
Owners are friendly, great with communication and able to help. Price is also very competitive.
Perhaps the only downside is the lack of accesible garage parking which may be inconvenient on hot summer days. But all in all an excellent stay!

What a lovely homely cottage, we stayed for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The location of the cottage is brilliant for getting away from it all. The cottage is well equiped with everything and is very comfortable.
The highlight for us was our daughter aged 3 waking up and getting excited and shouting 'Look mummy theres roos!' from our bedroom windows. The horses and llamas are lovely too.
A wonderful stay for the family. Thank you.

A beautiful spot away from it all. We loved waking up to the peaceful view and sounds of the bush and the children had a brilliant time feeding the two horses and exploring the countryside. A great spot only 15 mins from the centre of Mudgee and - even better - a few gorgeous wineries on the way.

Absolutely loved Ithaca and would recommend it to everyone! The location was gorgeous with Kangaroos in the field behind (a real treat for an English family!!) Plenty of room in the house, fully equipped, and ideal if you have a dog! Lots of wineries in proximity as well :) I'll definately be returning!

We loved Ithaca Cottage! It was so comfortable, it felt like being at home. Our two kids had an absolute ball and loved the horses in the next paddock. The trip to Mudgee wasn't too far a drive but far enough to feel like you were away from everything. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I'm sure we will be back.

Absolutely loved our stay in Ithaca - the only draw back was that 2 nights wasnt enough ! Highly recommend it for those with a dog as the set up is great. Peace and quiet amongst the horses, sheep, alpaca and cows. The children had an absolute ball and didnt want to leave and our pup thought he'd won the lotto when he was allowed to bound through the paddocks ! Thank you for having us and we look forward to returning. Simone

We had a wonderful stay with 2 dogs who loved running along the fences "chatting" to the horses! A fabulous home to stay in (and it felt like a home, not just a house) - so well equipped, comfortable and ah - the serenity! We'll definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful few days!

From the very minute we arrived I felt at ease with such a comfortable home.
The next morning was such a paradise to wake up to. We have been to many properties in Mudgee and I have to say this is my favorite. It is without a doubt the best I have ever stayed at.
The home is a real home, very cosy, and the fire just works a treat.
Why I keep coming back is the quiet, it's like a drug, I can't put into words the feeling you get when you feel like your the only person on earth with just nature and all the sounds that go with it.
I just pray now that you guys don't sell like the others so we can come back again to this wonderful town I like to call my home eventually!!

Ithaca cottage is a great place to stay.It is close enough to Mudgee but not too close to lose the country feel. The horses, cows, alpacas and kangaroos around the cottage add to the experience.Even though it was the middle of winter the cosy fire and feather quilts made us forget about the cold. The cottage is exceptionally well maintained and has everything you need for a short or long stay. We had 4 nights there but I wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely cottage out in the 'bush' for us city folks. The weather was great so the outdoor was inviting for walks, verandah chit chats, and kangaroo viewings. There were 5 of us and the only thing missing was a second toilet. Roster yourself well and you've got a great holiday rest place!

Ithaca is the perfect place for a family getaway (we stayed with our toddler and his grandparents) . The house is a good size, comfortable and well equipped, perfectly located in the quiet if the countryside but close to all amenities. Our stay was perfect from start to finish, the only shame being that it was not long enough. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

I thoroughly enjoyed the holiday with my family. I particularly liked watching the cattle, kangaroos and Jack the Horse, however I don't see what's so great about eating grass. My nose got a real workout, my favourite pastime being chasing the rabbits, if only my Mum had let me catch one!

We had an amazing long Anzac wkend at Ithaca. We were a party of 4 adults and it was our baby's (9 wks)first trip away. Ithaca is in a great location, about 15 mins drive from Mudgee and even less for the wineries. It is right in the middle of the countryside and we loved waking up and looking out over the fields. There are also beautiful walks close-by. The house is very well-kept and has everything that you need - there wasnt one extra thing that we needed. Overall we had a wonderful time and cant wait to go back...hopefully for longer next time!
