Description
Cricklewood is a self-contained cottage located in a private setting at the end of the village of Archies Creek, a short drive to some of Victoria's most spectacular coastline. The nearest beach is just five minutes' drive away and you'll be in Phillip Island or Inverloch within 20 minutes.
Ideal for couples or small groups looking for either an active or restful stay. Relax in the spa, gaze on the gorgeous rural views, watching cows from the comfort of the lounge in front of the fire or laze upon the hammock on the huge back deck. Access from the deck to the yard is via a staircase that has a child gate on it. Alternatively just lie on the beach and soak up some rays. If you're feeling energetic, there are some great local walks or rides - along the coast between Kilcunda and San Remo or the Bass Coast Rail Trail. Or visit the many local markets and wineries.
There are some well-respected restaurants very close by -The old Dalyston Church, and The Dalyston Pub. The Royal Mail Hotel at Archies Creek is a quirky local pub and only a 5min walk away - so you don't have to worry about having that extra glass!
Just 90 minutes from Melbourne's CBD, Cricklewood is the ideal getaway for up to 4 holidaymakers.
What is supplied
Guests supply their own linen, towels and food, although linen is available for an additional $30 per bed per stay. Cricklewood is fully self-contained, with full-sized oven, cook top, microwave and fridge. It even has a dishwasher and washing machine. Heating is via a wood burner or split system. Air conditioning, a wide deck, great insulation and sea breezes keep it cool in summer.
