"Just a week and it has been so relaxing! It has been delightful to chill out on the charming deck enjoying the sea breezes. We have paddled your kayak to King's Point and strolled along the beach many times.
This is quite the best holiday house in which we have stayed, beautfully appointed and kitted out to be a 'home away from home'.
After a difficult 2008, this has been a great start to 2009, for which we all thank you. We very much look forward to coming back." - Karen, Mark, Katie and Lucy - Jan 2009

"We all had a lovely time ... Lovingly restored with all the comforts of home (the chocolate Easter Bunny was a nice touch - thank you)." - Jenny - April 2009

"I think that all the comments in this book says it all! The house is wonderful, warm, and has everything a family may need.

"Thank you for providing such a beautiful place for holiday-makers like us. The house is child-friendly without losing its warmth and class. Very well set up. Loved the set-up and enjoyed many trips to the beach and lots of local nooks and crannies. Kids had a fantastic time, loved the outdoors, the games and so did we.
We feel refreshed and ready to face the busy time we lead back in Melbourne. Thanks for the memories!" - Steve, Jenny, Ethan and Brooke - July 2009

  • "Thanks to Sue & Frank for a wonderful holiday house to relax and unwind. The house is extremely comfortable and peaceful, and the attention to detail is excellent. It is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into making this house a great place to relax with everything that you could possibly want in a holiday house. The Old Boathouse would easily be the BEST holiday house that we have stayed in. We would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants a hassle-free, relaxing holiday. We hope to be back when the the weather is a little warmer so that we can enjoy the beaches."

  • "Lovely, clean, fresh and well equipped. We just wished we had have had more time to spend there."

  • "The Old Boathouse is the place to go for peace and quiet. It is well furnished and comfortable, ideal for rest and relaxation. I enjoyed the magazines but sadly did not stay long enough to read a book or two. My husband and son spent quality time fishing and paddling up and down the river in the boat provided by the hosts, Sue and Frank. My daughter at first wondered what to do but later enjoyed walking and playing frisbee with me. The Old Boathouse warmly encourages guests to unwind and relax. Definitely a place to stay! "

  • "We visited the Boathouse on a playgroup mother's girls weekend away, and all 6 of us simply loved it! The beautiful decor, the thought and attention to detail....everything we could ever need was readily available, and it could not have been a more comfortable place to stay. There was plenty of space for all of us, beautiful bedrooms, great deck and balcony, the extra bathroom.. Sue and Frank were a delight to deal with, so friendly and readily available to help us book and answer any questions we had between booking and our stay, they even answered our queries over the weekend without any hassle. The house is in a great location, just a short walk to some lovely places (the food at Cafe brill is simply "Brill"), lovely dolphin point, Fresh fish and prawns (YUM!) and importantly on a girls weekend away, the IGA and the Local liqour! Needless to say we had an amazing time, and will be making it our annual trip, it's simply too beautiful a place to not return to! Thank you Sue and Frank for letting us stay at your amazing house, well done on such a great set-up!!!"

  • "The Old Boathouse was just right for our extended family. The kids enjoyed the rumpus room. There was plenty of space for us to be together and have areas for those that wanted to be away from the crowd. A great talking point was the history of the house. Frank and Sue provide all the little things you might need whilst on holiday."

  • "Over Easter I stayed at the Old Boathouse with my family. Their comments include 'was very good'; 'excellently appointed and well designed'; 'the mattresses were very comfortable (we have stayed in holiday rentals were they have not been)'; kitchen well appointed allowing us to enjoy cooking. Overall rating is excellent."

  • "After a day's sun, surf and sand it was great to return to the comfort of The Old Boathouse every afternoon. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in - the owners have gone to a lot of trouble with their attention to detail. We had a lovely holiday. "
