Eco-friendly, timber finsihed design with original artwork by a local artist, Cherry Tree Cottage is located on-farm with fabulous views over the nearby alpaca paddocks and the farm's dam down the valley to South Brother, one of the three local landmark mountains.

With a generous main bedroom and an open plan living area that spills out onto a large open balcony with BBQ and dining facilities, this property is "heaven on a stick" to its many guests. Just relax with the views and the noises of nature and the clear skies or use the farm as a base for the many attractions of the area.

Ideal for getaway couples or for family holidays where the children would like an introduction to the delights of farm life.

For a couple staying a single night the GST inclusive price is $195 - includes generous breakfast provisions; for two nights or more the price is $155 per night and there are further discounts for a stay of a week or more. Additional adults or children attract an additional daily charge.

The immediate locality

Cherry Tree Cottage is located on a 55 acre farm which is the home, among other things, to Benbellen Alpaca Products where the fleece of the farm's many alpacas is made into the most beautiful pure alpaca bedding products and fashion garments.

On its own block within the farm, the cottage is as private as you could want it to be, nevertheless with easy access to alpacas at feeding time as well and the many other "ctitturs" of the farm: chooks, ducks, geese and guinea fowl not to mention the farms three border collies who are bound to give you a warm welcome on arrival.

Things to do and see

National Parks, art galleries, museums, bird and animal watching, rainforest walks to the biggest gum treees in NSW, waterfalls, blueberry picking in season, wine tastingand local markets.

Other items of interest include the many cafes and restaurants of the area as well as lots of fun for the kids: Timbertown at Wauchope, Tons o’ Fun and the Big Buzz north of Tuncurry, Camel rides at Lighthouse Beach not to mentions cinemas (don’t miss the fabulous Laurieton Plaza at Laurieton). For the adventurous there is Port Water Rats for adventure boating, boat hire at Dunbogan Boatshed, paragliding at high Adventure Air Park … and lots, lots more!
